Indirectly they want to transfer their work to AI robots in the future, because the purpose of the recording is clearly directed to be applied to robots later, to be fair there should be an agreement for those who record activities, if one day in the future their work is impacted because it is replaced by robots, they must receive royalties from what they do now. We cannot fight against the progress of the times, we must follow the development of the times

Many people have to decide on choosing something more profitable in the short term instead of hoping for more in the long term. I understand the mindset, of course this always has to do with the economic condition of the individual and his family. They may know that some of the sources of income from the work they do from this will no longer exist in the future due to the development of technology, but today's economic demands force them to choose what is in front of their eyes to sustain life.
Hundreds of people are willing to travel as far as 1800 KM to earn a living that they think can cover the needs of life today and the future. There are many risks that they consider, but there is no other choice but to just force themselves to accept the job. Even if the situation is not exactly the same, but for some people there will be a thought that today's income is much more useful than tomorrow's income.
The principle of important thing is that we can eat today, i don't see it as a moral failure or a lack of vision, but rather as an absolute survival mechanism. Trust me, when a person is under extreme economic pressure, their cognitive functions and life choices narrow down to a single focus which is today. For family who living in extreme poverty for long time, they see the future is a luxury they cannot afford and starvation is a today threat and certainty. When a person experiences a shortage on money to buy food or time, their brain will automatically prioritize the most urgent needs and ignore everything else. It's not about they not aware about the risk of the future, but their mental capacity is already drained from stressfull thinking about how to survive the next 24 hours.

--- Talk about helping to end your own Job, the reality is that these mostly uneducated workers are about to lose possibly the only job they can offer for pay just because of extra money. I think these workers should be adequately informed about what they are doing, preferably in the language the understand best, about what the whole process is all about and the effect it will have on them.
I don't know if I can call this as "lowkey exploitation", but looking at it, it seems like it is. I've seen the same with Worldcoin where they tried to scan the iris of the people from 3rd world countries for a few buckos, and the information? It's for their own use already. Now this is way worse than that because these people from India are doing it so that robot will know what to do in the future putting the future people who might be working for the same job in trouble since instead of hiring people, they'll just use robots instead. These Indian people are just thinking of the present and not for the future unfortunately. Well, there's nothing that we can do to stop these uneducated people from doing it. At the end of the day, they're getting paid and for them, that's already a good thing. On the flip side, I don't know if this will come true though that manual labor will get eradicated by these robots. I mean we've seen companies who laid off some of their employees for them to use AI to be more efficient, but got backfired. I'm not saying that it will be the same as this one, but... it might be.

Well, the workers probably do this for extra pay, and if not, they simply can’t refuse (for example, under the threat of dismissal). Sooner or later, production will be fully robotized everywhere, and workers will end up on the street regardless of their wishes or efforts. An interesting point is that the business is following an economical path to robotics: it’s cheaper to create a human‑like robot and train it using data collected from workers’ cameras so that it can operate on existing equipment, rather than to develop non‑human‑like robotic production, which would likely be more efficient in the process but would require higher R&D costs and a complete replacement of equipment.

I was sent THIS from a friend that we both have been discussing the future of the poor and low income earners in this era of Ai and this video shows lack of knowledge that many of the poor and low income earners have about the continuation of their little source of income. In this video it shows workers wearing a camera mainly on their head and this camera tracks hand movements, process as they do their work and all of this is to train Ai to master what this workers are doing. The short term finance that this worker gets is making them oblivious about the effect of what they are doing. according to the video these workers are paid around 1000 Rupees a day which is economically pleasing to then but at what cost. Talk about helping to end your own Job, the reality is that these mostly uneducated workers are about to lose possibly the only job they can offer for pay just because of extra money. I think these workers should be adequately informed about what they are doing, preferably in the language the understand best, about what the whole process is all about and the effect it will have on them. Some of them might even be aware of what they are doing, but greediness will not let them stand up for their rights. It is the duty of the government to protect them and since the government has chosen their ways, the citizens will be left with no option but to do everything in order to survive. Even if they didn't teach AI the work, it will learn how to do it in through other means, because robots only do what they are designed to do. So, the workers should just enjoy their lives as it lasts and receive the amount of money paid, because they deserve it. They are actually doing an amazing/ incredible job.

The video which OP has shared clearly tells us that companies are doing this in order to get training material for AI. In future we might see machines that do such work in place of humans. I do agree with your point that we can't fight against progress of time, as an individual we must figure out how to survive in future and for that we need to take necessary measures on time. Employees in digital sector have already started losing jobs due to AI, for instance Oracle fire 20,000 employees earlier this year and this is wake up call for people working in other sectors.

I dont think that device workers had on their hear was an AI that was training or learning something; AI that later suppose to replace that employee. Their hands movement was random. They also work in different working desks and do good number different tasks. Plus they seems to work with small details. Even if someone builds a machine that repeat workers hand movement with 2 robotic manipulators, the cost of this machine would be greater than keeping those low paid employees at work. I am not speaking about the size of this machine or number of such machines to be at manufactory. What I think that on the video it was an experiment to find most effective way to perform job. Or to find who among employees are working ineffective.

This is actually hilarious, it's like cutting the source of your lifetime income for a few pennies. The advent of AI would ruin a lot of people's life, it's high time that these technology inclined industries realize that not all jobs should be replaced with AI. How do people put a camera over their head for hours just to train an AI that would possibly take that job away from them? Isn't that funny?
The pay is above the normal pay because its an improper job offer but they probably don't have other options. AI is not perfect, these people training them are not perfect too but there is always the need for an upgrade. How does AI replace the measuring, cutting and sewing aspect of tailors without human help? I can't say more than this.
I completely agree that staying updated on current technology is very important but I think we should never assume that if we are using artificial intelligence that automatically means that someone is giving their job away. AI is helping to do tasks in a fast way. It can replace certain tasks; it is helping worker to be more productive, and it is also helping them to learn new skills and create new opportunities. AI is never problem; main thing is how companies and people are using it. Instead of just blaming AI or blaming these companies, people should try to take advantage of it. They should try to learn how to use it to make their work even smarter. They should try to understand crypto and AI both are useful but no one is granted job security. So everyone should try to develop some practical skills along with critical thinking ability and also having the ability to adapt to the technology changes.

It's actually unfair to those people who have no idea of what's going on. being paid that kind amount of money only to be monitored for Ai usage. Whereas removing jobs from their hands when they are done with the learnings. But do they think these Ai machines can do the jobs better than humans? Or they are just avoiding paying more workers for the jobs?

But do they think these Ai machines can do the jobs better than humans? Or they are just avoiding paying more workers for the jobs?
In the video prototypes of AI machines were shown and just look how slow they are, how limited is machines claw or "hand" by its functionality. I think they are far behind what human hands can do. There was shown how human work with stitching machine. AI machine can repeat only part when you take fabrics and make it go through the needle back and forward. These machines are not flexible enough yet. I think those employees earn few dollars per hour only. Development of technology, building a prototype machine, testing it, building a real machine will cost hundred of thousands. And it will probably replace only 1 employee. Its advantage is - it will be working non-stop. But only for 24h a day. Ok, one machine might replace 2-3 employees. But still all the cost of AI machine will be much higher than what few employees will be paid. Then it is not "avoiding to pay workers more" imo.

People like short term satisfaction over long term success. But if you ask them their response would always end up being “I like long term success “ whereas they will consciously choose that short term happiness over it over and over again. It’s like knowing what you want and not doing anything about it, maybe all they need truly is for AI to finally take their jobs so they can realize their mistakes all along. But then if we look at this from another angle it’s very likely that with or without their help these AI companies will get what they want so sometimes it’s good to at least benefit from the exit than to have nothing as compensation.
Your thinking is authentic and no doubt the majority of us want and try to get long-term success, but yet choosing comfort, how do we get success with comfort is it possible? In this way, the important thing is discipline. If we remain consistent in our work, we feel valuable. Your point about AI is also reality-based, because if AI companies remain successful in their goals, then low-skilled workers lose their jobs and what they earn in this high-skilled era. Our daily routine decides our future. As if we do nothing today for our improvements it means we stop learning. When we stop learning, the world will move ahead of us. it's very important to create worth, and it's done by getting heavy skills. People think about this matter and prepare themselves according to the advancement of AI.
