K1VPN - Privacy-Focused VPN
Secure by Default
Privacy-focused VPN with direct Bitcoin and Lightning payments

Hello Bitcointalk,

I’m Marshal, representing K1VPN, a VPN service built for people who care about online privacy. We’d like to introduce K1VPN to the Bitcoin community.

🔐 PRIVACY & PAYMENTS

We consider the payment path part of privacy too. Bitcoin and Lightning payments are handled through our own self-hosted BTCPay Server and Bitcoin/Lightning infrastructure, without a third-party payment processor or hosted crypto checkout.

Customers paying with cryptocurrency do not need to provide an email address or card details. Card payments are available separately and are processed by Stripe.

🌍 ABOUT THE SERVICE

We follow a strict no-logs VPN policy: browsing activity is not recorded, and connection data needed during a session exists only in RAM.

Our VPN network spans 54 countries with 93 mainstream servers.

K1VPN features include:
  • WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2 and VLESS/REALITY
  • Unlimited data
  • Support for up to 10 simultaneous devices
  • Streaming and P2P support
Protocol availability varies by device.

Explore the full list of K1VPN features.

⚡ TRY K1VPN

If K1VPN sounds relevant to you, explore the service and decide whether it meets your needs. Questions about the service are welcome in this thread.

Best regards,
Marshal

I see you are offering 48 hour trial version, but only with entering email.
You also don't have the option to create account and use your vpn without email, and many competition VPN have that by default.
Another thing I noticed is lack of source code and any information about auditing, so I am going to assume your software is closed source, and there is no github page to check the code.

The 48-hour free trial requires an email and card to prevent abuse.

But, as stated in the [ANN], neither is required to use K1VPN: you can register with crypto, without providing an email or card, and try the service for 7 days for €2.99.

Our own apps are closed source, but nobody is required to use them. You can use whichever open-source clients you trust.

As we have explained openly in another thread, an open-source client or an audit of that client says nothing about how the VPN provider’s servers handle your traffic. Without equivalent transparency on the server side, presenting client-side code or an audit as proof of the whole service’s security is one of the most common ways the public is misled. In that context, its value is largely marketing.

I understand that not everyone has the technical background to assess how a VPN works end to end, especially after being bombarded with paid placements on major review sites  Undecided

We have no intention of trying to persuade anyone or engaging in a fruitless argument that will lead nowhere. We are willing to discuss publicly only concrete findings from an actual test of the service, not assumptions.

We are simply presenting an alternative for people to evaluate for themselves.

Best
K1VPN Team
