I recently came across a post on X that was made on the 18th of October 2026 and which by now the price of bitcoin has even moved lower.
The writer asked a question of “who blinks first, the seller or the treasuries”?
We can't deny that institutional adopters will likely hold onto their Bitcoin longer, as they have the financial backing to support it. However, as long as they remain involved in holding Bitcoin, I am sure there will be increasing interest from various parties, including individual holders.
Conversely, if institutional investors sell their Bitcoin, it will create a good opportunity for retail or individual investors to enter at a good price. So, I think it is a fair bet comparing the two, and I still believe the winner will be anyone who is patient, whether retail or institutional. As long as they don't sell immediately at a loss, they should still profit.
