I voted for $106k to $120k because it's just few months to January and with the current price and the fact that there is really no sign of a bullish move means that the market will experience a slow upwards movement that can only reach around $110k in January. I would have doubted a possibility of the price crossing $100k but the reason why I'm being confident is that the fiat currency is losing value day by day and a lot of investors are now taking the step of shielding the value of their money by investing in bitcoin so if they continue buying more Bitcoin it will cause an uptrend that will take the price above $100k but the major uptrend will only happen during the bull run in 2029.
Edit: My bad, was thinking that it's January 2027 that you're talking about, it was when I came back to read the topic title that I saw it is January 2029 therefore i have adjusted my vote to over $200k because 2029 is the bull run and of course what should we expect if not for the price to break milestones. Let's say within $200k to $250k should be the target.

Even with the unpredictable nature of bitcoin, i still believe that predicted figure can be gotten by then based on the investment shift that happened in the investment market now. Although some discouraging things has happened for a long time now that may make one choose to lose interest in bitcoin but am sure bitcoin is still the most reliable asset for now. With the current shift I see in the investment market now i am sure that 200$ predicted value in 2029 is the least bitcoin can attain because for now all attention have been shifted to bitcoin now.
So you are bullish on $200k, or even saying that's floor in 2029. That's your personal view and there's nothing wrong with it. But sorry to break it to you, believing in something doesn't make it a sure thing. Market could not care less about your target. It does not owe you anything , least of all a price that follow your call and keep you happy. Setting ATH target for your hold is totally fine. Just don't treat it as gospel and brush off other scenarios. That kind of complacency can cost you big time.

I went bear under 106k much like very early 2017 when price was very low.
I am projecting that next halving would definitely push the bitcoin price above expected because there is a higher pressure that people has been speculating for the price to break out half million dollars or possibly break out $1m dollars. Other thing that I also think that would increase the market is demand and supply, higher adoption where more institutional investors will coming into the market.

Your estimate seems a bit low to me as the highest low. I will consider three possible scenarios. If there is a bear market then the price will be low but above 106k. And if there is a normal market then it can be around 150k, and if there is a bull market then 250k is my possible estimate. However, it would be best if there was a reward for this prediction. So far, the highest ATH price of Bitcoin is 126k, so the new highest ATH in 2029 could be 326k.

No offense, but if you believe crowd expectations alone are going to create enough buying pressure to send BTC to the moon, you're pretty naive. Markets aren't run on Hail Marys . Or on us all buying into the same get rich dream, dude. The direction Bitcoin's price takes at that moment will be determined by real supply and demand. And second , Bitcoin adoption is already going strong . If that's enough to trigger a rally , it'll happen anytime, no need to sit around waiting for the halving.

Is it possible that the price won't go above $200k in the next bull run? I don't think so because going by previous price performance, 2017 bull run the price was close to $20,000 then in 2021 bull run the price skyrocket more than x3 of 2017 so if we are to use this analysis, it then means that the price of Bitcoin in last bull run which is $126k in 2025 will likely hit x3 in 2029 which should be around $350k and above. So, i will vote for $200k above because it is very realistic.

Voting for less than $200K is like demeaning bitcoin performance over the years. The market has followed a usual pattern and until now that pattern is still maintained. Unless there is a shake off of this pattern and we see another kind of approach into this, then we can now say that the market may likely not perform so well in the coming bull run after it has been hit by a change in the normal consensus of it prior to that bull run. I am very optimistic that the market will trade above $200K in the next bull run and won’t be trading a price below $200K by January 2029.

It is surprising how many votes are sub 200k because it would be normal to expect higher. The majority think lower and I'm minded to call that ironically bullish. The last thing you want is everyone all optimistic, it tends to mean all the buyers are standing on the same side of the boat and its due an upset. Its quite an ironic concept to grasp but having people not expect 200k makes it more likely imo, I think history reflects that but correct sentiment is rarely written in as it was at the time so we dont remember with 20/20 vision.

Half a million that is $500 BTC price speculation for 2029 after the next halving cycle, although this may sound appealing to the ear and holders will anticipate this as a good projections, but the problem will have to deal with is market reality, how sure are we that because of present market pressure we should presume it outcome to be a positive one for bitcoin and what if the market goes the other way, like keeping us at a base level for a long period of time.

This is bitcoin and it can display to surprise those that think it will not break into a new price, now till 2029 it will be possible for bitcoiners to see $200k from the market because that is the price long term and short term holders are waiting to see, which it will be possible in next than three year to come, I don't know if you are still holding bitcoin that is making you to ask such question if the price of bitcoin will reach $200k, but before such price will start displaying in the market there will be many bullish and bearish season before investors and holders will begin to see this price that will motivate them to release all their bitcoin for sale.

Yeah and each high sucked compared to the last 1300. 2013 19500. 2017 15x bigger 69000. 2021 3.6x bigger 126000 2025. 1.9x bigger 150000 2029. 1.2x bigger is likely and the next ATH is not in January 2029 more likely in the fall. 2029

But I don't think voting for a target below $200k means you are dismissing how well Bitcoin has performed over years. Those picking lower target are simply being more cautious, realistic than most of us. Market has stuck to the old pattern so far. But let's be clear on one thing, Bitcoin returns have been diminishing with every cycle. We can't just brush that reality aside. So it does not really make sense to lean on past cycles and assume Bitcoin will keep growing the same way next time. If I'm being straight with you, that's just a personal call, not a sure thing.

Actually, we can still follow past cycles, but we really can’t assume that growth will always be the same. We can see that every time we enter a bullish market, the percentage increase is always decreasing. It might be true that Bitcoin’s market volatility could decrease in the future. That doesn’t mean it will disappear, but we’ll see a market that doesn’t move as fast as before. At the beginning of 2029, I don’t expect a number exceeding $200k. But hopefully, by mid to late year, we can see it happen as a celebration of a new achievement.

This is just a speculation, because nobody knows what will happen then...we have additional 3 years remaining before we can reach to such 2029, so we need to understand to understand that the bitcoin doesn't increases per month or per year, they're some years that normal brings the price down due what we shall encounter, and they're some years that skyrocket the price due to the demands and supply at that year.... That's the reason why i dont predict ahead of the year in bitcoin, because nobody knows what next year will yield, if they will be massive investor or holders may decide to sell off what they hold on their portfolio, the price increases due to investors demands..I can literally agree with you that we may achieve $200k in 2029.

Any price mentioned here in regards to the price Bitcoin will be at, in January 2029 will be regarded as speculation, however, what should matter to me as Bitcoiner is how much of Bitcoin I have accumulated so far and how much I would have accumulated before then, cause that will show how prepared I am, the price of Bitcoin is unpredictable, Bitcoin is a valuable asset and unpredictable, the performance of Bitcoin in the last 17 years has been the reason why one can be bold to say Bitcoin is futuristic, but I can not say the exact price of Bitcoin at anytime but as a volatile asset it is, Bitcoin price can double or triple in the future, we have seen that happen, which is why we should continue to acumulate and hodl for a long-term.

I also went bear and as far as I can see from the results people are either quite bullish or bearish; there's no middle ground. What I’m about to say is based on my intuition from years of following Bitcoin and the markets, but obviously I could be wrong, just like anyone else who makes predictions. I think that after the post-midterms drop, there will be a recovery followed by another drop—one that won’t be catastrophic but might take us down to the $65K–$70K range and shake out some weak hands. By January, we’ll likely be recovering from that, but there’s no way we’ll be above $100K (I wish we were). Plus, I think that when we approach that figure—even if it’s for the second time—it’ll be hard to break through because, since it’s a round and symbolic number, there’ll be a ton of sell orders in the $95K–$100K range.
