If I have friends who usually turn something into a serious issue, I can never agree to do anything with money with them, but if I see that we are united and money has never brought up an issue among us, then I don’t see anything stopping me from enjoying such a bet with friends.

I don't know the kind of games you can plan with other player for your opponent to lose. Maybe in street football but I don't think that still exist unless you are going enroll skilled street players to play for your team which van give you the full advantage to win the bet or the match with more goals. That can be fun for you to do but let's think from the perspectives of that one person who is getting cornered. For that one person, this game will no longer be interesting but just an another way of getting tortured. There would be no point of fairness if any one single person is being cornered.

Exactly there is no greedy and addiction in those game. And we play when it is the time. In some locale, such games are seasonal or political sponsored to engage the youth in sports activities. In most communities or locale, those who were involved in those sports games are no longer in the communities and they are in the cities. Street football is one; we also have card games. We can play Ludo, where the other two mentioned games you guys can be in the same table playing, and eye signs can be passed across, and agreement to deal with a particular play can be reached without even voicing it out.
