They will care when their bad money vaporized. Like bank account freezing, paypal account freezing and so on.

Usually people don't seek privacy until they found the threat and it's the same with money.

Not many care about decentralized money until the bank that they loved dearly freeze their accounts for something unreasonable and make them deprived of financial access.

A decade ago people thought Bitcoin as just toy money, they they finally found the urgency. Turns out a decentralized money has its use.

I think this one of the great thing about Bitcoin, you don't even need to explain it to people and eventually they will need Bitcoin and learn about it.

Try showing them the profit potential. That is what we as a human understand the most. Bitcoins have helped us achieve financial freedom by giving high returns in the past. That is just one added benefit of being with bitcoins. If they can understand that they can make good profits in bitcoins, they will surely would like to give it a try. Maybe you can start explaining them about various investment assets where they can minimise risk while still being able to see profits. DCA can be a easy start for them.

Most of the times, if you go into technical, the other person listening would become less interested because a few terms would just sound like a jargon to him.

Showing some profit could actually be a motivation to them to get along with the bitcoin community most especially if they have some doubts about it prior to that time. But it could also be dangerous to you and can lead to high expectations from such person. Meanwhile we know how bitcoin market is very uncertain, and profit are not guaranteed. so I don’t think showing profit will ever be a good idea most especially to an entirely newbie.

Yes just explains to them how it’s works and the potential in it if they find it welcoming then it’s great, but if they don’t you shouldn’t try to lure anyone or try to persuade them in anyway it’s not everyone that will accept bitcoin you know right.

I never did care about Bitcoin even when I had a friend who was years ahead in its knowledge and investment process that he made money from it. My own conviction came as at a time when salary became too little because of rising inflation, savings diminished in the bank and anyone with your account or bank verification details could easily see your balance and rate you instantly.

Every one of us do have different motivations to why we got to consider for bitcoin adoption, it is also important that we realize the fact that it has been discovered to meet a certain condition or need, whereby we can't afford not to adopt bitcoin than to use it on areas being made applicable, it is more of our personal conviction that determines the take they give towards it, some will adopt for bitcoin while some been taughtmay not as long as they are yet to be satisfied with what they have learnt about Bitcoin.

I think the question we need to answer first is: does it matter?

We are not looking for getting everyone on board. After all, we cannot force people to change.
Bitcoin is "freedom money" or as I like to call it: the exit. Those who want to have financial sovereignty are going to benefit from Bitcoin and those who want to remain slaves of the oligarchy will continue living like that.

If there's any other way simpler to make the OP understand that, bitcoin is an alternative to the rusted traditional fiat system and it's only those who care and seek for an alternative means to that rusted system that would actually care to getting involved with bitcoin and compare with the traditional fiat, and then make a decision for themselves. Because, just like you literally mentioned, bitcoin is absolutely a "freedom money" and people shouldn't be forced or obfuscated into adopting it without them not understanding it and appreciating it value and role.
With decentralization of bitcoin and it's pseudonymous use for privacy, I think there's no much to not care for from anyone who takes his privacy seriously.

Well, "number goes up" is what brought most of the adoption we have today. And the funny thing is that, the very thing Bitcoin was trying to solve—centralization—is what even made Bitcoin's price boom the way it did—ETFs, and CEXs have the largest Bitcoin shares.

I really don't know about others, but based on myself and those around me, the "number goes up" is what created that interest in Bitcoin.

The way it works is, in itself, an issue. I mean, it would be risky to bring someone new into it if they aren’t interested in how it functions. I don’t want to look foolish by explaining something that holds no interest for the person I’m talking to.

Regardless how engaging your work schedule is, if you are someone that is passionate about new knowledge, you will find time and a way of learning things you are ignorant of. What is too difficult about concept like bitcoin having 21 million maximum supply or what Proof of work is or what is meant by Decentralization and Self-custody? with AI, you just need to know how to give it a good prompt and within a day you can get all the basic knowledge on each of this concept.

If you are a ready, you will understand that people read way more complicated stuff just for knowledge sake and not that they are interested in toeing that part. this is even of an advantage because you are learning a thing that can make your life more better if you apply the knowledge in the right way.

I will say laziness might be the cause or probably fear of learning that's why many people think they need a lot of time to learn and gain knowledge about Bitcoin. You're right someone that is very passionate about something will always create time no matter how tight his schedule might be. Someone willing to learn will always go to any extent to improve themselves and that's how it is supposed to be. A beginner can always make a simple search on the internet now because a lot of things has been made very easy even with the introduction of AI.

The only difference is that we all have different priorities or area that interests us and some people might not be as passionate about Bitcoin and just because something has value and can improve our lives doesn't still mean everyone will be interested or know it's value.

To be honest, I would rather ignore those people than persuade them to buy Bitcoin. 
Bitcoin without those people is also fine. If they are interested in Bitcoin, it's up to them what aspect they are interested in, whether it's because of decentralization or its price. No one will blame them. 
They are using their own money, so there is no need for anyone else to control them. They will be responsible for their own money.

Yeh! They will care when suddenly they can't send their balance, or they get randomly frozen and told by support it will take a few days. Then a few weeks. Then a few months. And money returned whenever they feel like it.

It sounds like I am selfish but I am not ready to go to public places and educate other people about Bitcoin, or show off that I am a Bitcoin investor or trader, at least informing other people that I have bitcoin, because these activities are not good for my privacy and physical safety.

The world in latest years is different than 3 or 4 decades ago, with Internet, people can access many educational resources easily and they are able to learn about Bitcoin without any learning fee. I think a person who goes to work every day, comes home in the evening, and pays bills through a banking app could very well face serious problems. 🙋

For example, they could lose their beloved job due to the introduction of AI… They could also find that despite working 12 hours a day, they still can't pay their bills… They could discover that their country is experiencing hyperinflation, and the money they kept in the bank has become worthless… Their country could introduce a central bank digital currency (CBDC), and they would realize they can no longer spend their money freely. They could face a war in their own country and be forced to flee combat operations (missiles, combat drones) to another country. And they would need a financial asset for quickly transferring capital across international borders…

In some situations, Bitcoin could be very useful in solving these problems… Bitcoin is an alternative to the existing financial system, and if that system collapses, Bitcoin can help you.  If you're doing well, for example, you're a successful banker, then you might not need Bitcoin. 💁

Well, once they do, they will realize that the features of sound money are not just to give you profit, or that it is only seen as money that goes up. The real benefit lies in what it gives us and what kind of freedom.

What happened in Paraguay can happen in any country where leaders like that are controlling things. We can save our money from being liquidated like this, we can save ourselves from inflation, and above all, we get to keep self-sovereignty.
