Who would refuse profit? Every gambler surely hopes to win when betting. Whether they enjoy the game or not, the goal is still to make a profit. If no profit were offered by the casino, would gamblers be willing to consistently deposit money? It is the offer of winning that attracts gamblers.

For me personally, I go into betting with the aim of winning alongside the fun in it. My winning determines the level of fun I have for the game. I don't think either people just bet for betting sake. They too want to make profit from it. No one will continue betting and lossing except they know in their mind they will win one day. Deep down they want to win. The term gambling for fun is just the hide the ugly part that comes with gambling.

I think gambling for fun contains financial part, but it isnt most important. No one would deny they would not want to gain more money while gambling, but those who gamble for fun dont build their strategy over gaining maximum profit out of every bet they make. Those who gamble for fun dont just throw money in the air, because they would run out of resources for playing if they are so reckless. I don't know about others but my main purpose is to gamble for fun, I like to watch sports and at the same time enjoy the game by betting. I don't gamble with more money than I can afford to lose. I don't comment much about the perception of people carrying out gambling activities, maybe in certain states or certain people gambling activities can be considered as a purpose for fun and entertainment without thinking about financial gain.

But in my opinion, other states and certain states or certain people have exceptions, it could be said that any form of gambling and any type of gambling activity is considered to be financially profitable, I actually think the behavior of gambling groups might show different characteristics, as I mentioned above.

I still remember some member's argument saying that if gambling was not designed in a way that players will win money, that not many people will be gambling and I agree. Like I already said in this related topic, the fun of gambling is the feeling of winning some cash, that's what add to the excitement that people get from gambling. I gamble for profit and I have seen people that say they gamble for fun but they will feel so unhappy when they keep losing without making some profit back.

Different gamblers can interprete gambling for fun in different ways, for me I gamble for fun and what that basically mean is that I don't take it too seriously, I don't see gambling as where I'm entitled to make steady income. I like to win but I'm not desperate to win, I use amount that I'm comfortable to lose to me make deposits so loses are not a big deal for me, I'm happy when I win but I'm not frustrated when I lose. I think that gamblers should gamble for fun, why fight desperately to make money where you don't control your game, it can lead to depression if you're not winning consistently so the key for me is to take gambling as an entertainment.

Do you think that having the desire to win at gambling means trying to make a profit? When gambling for fun, having the desire to make a profit and considering gambling as a source of income are not the same thing. Just because you want to make a profit should not mean that gambling is not for fun. A person takes $20-$30 to a casino for the first time. He wants to turn that money into $50-$100. But he also accepts that he may lose the entire $30. He stops playing when his budget is exhausted and does not try to make up for the loss the next day. There is a desire to make a profit but his main motive may also be entertainment.

knowing the obvious and staking with your spare cash is most common way to stay out of addiction,  observing break whenever you win huge sum should be the best practice in gambling that will help you make profit.

I don't think either people just bet for betting sake. They too want to make profit from it.

I have seen posts where people make false claims that they don't care about the outcome of the bets and are only having fun, In fact one annoyed me so much that I created this topic. I think it is high time people stopped lying to claim what they're not online while offline most of them are suffering serious addiction.

If people care so less about profitability while gambling, then why don't they use simulators and forget the real staking? It is simple, they wouldn't because they desire profits.

Gambling is a game of choice, many gamble for fun because they already have the money but if along the line they also win it's an added advantage to them but initially we agreed that many people just gamble for fun,  why many are also saying that no one has the mindset to just gamble for fun when they mindset of making profit is not there , but to my own understanding here , many people who has already has the money they gamble to prove some wrong not for profit reasons, but just as I said if profits enter along the line they rejoice.

Sometimes we mislead ourselves thinking that for us to be safe in gambling is just to play it for fun, which in reality is not really correct, you can ask gamblers who have experience or try to experience it yourself. No, anyone saying that is completely full of shit. Nobody bets money expecting or wanting to lose it... The whole thrill of the game is literally trying to win something.

For me, "for fun" simply means that I set aside money that I am wiling to "spend" on this type of entertainment. And if I lose it, I don't go chasing it down. But The profit motive is always there.

It depends on the individual’s perspective,most gamblers are interested in having fun through gambling and they have the intention of also making profits from it while most gamblers are just profit focused they’re not even interested about the fun aspect gambling brings.If your aim is to make profit through gambling and your goals are achieved at the end of the day you can refer that to fun in your own view but what I defined gambling for fun to be is when you’re enjoying the moment of the game you’re playing likewise the bet you placed.Above all in any way you regard your fun to be you should be always responsible towards your gambling habits because that should be your main focus in regards to gambling.

Why would I believe such a thing? I gamble for fun, and I still desire to make a profit from it. It amazes me when people deny that they don't desire to make a profit when gambling for fun and entertainment. Mind you, they get disappointed when their bets don't play out as as expected.

Whether you gamble for fun, or for whatever reason best known to you the goal is still to win and make a profit; otherwise you wouldn't spend time checking statistics, analyzing teams performance and looking for the best possible odds before placing your bets.

Gambling for fun is an addage used to describe a gambling based on responsible gambling practices that wouldn't necessarily lead the gambler into addiction or financial disaster. Such practices might include

• Gambling with a defined budget which is what you can afford to loose
• Having a defined time-frame for your gambling sessions and not gambling when it is not conducive and ethical
• Neither chasing profits mindlessly or chasing your losses when your budgeted bankroll is depleted
• Ability to control yourself while on the casino and not go beyond your budget

Every gambler comes to the casino to attempt making more money and can aim at 2X, 3X or any more or less profit target. What makes it gambling for fun is your reaction when you do or don't meet your target, if you can control your emotions better and make rational decisions, then it can be called fun gambling. If your gambling activity doesn't in any way become problematic to you, affect your finances negatively, or make you less productive, it could still be gambling for fun.

I don't think this is true because gamblers hide under the pretence that they are gambling for fun while that's not the motive behind their gambling activities, Yes!, I clearly understand that there are individuals who actually gamble for fun and entertainment but they are just few of them while we have alot of gamblers that are playing for the profits and not the fun as it is described by them, if they were actually gambling for fun why are they chasing their looses?, that's the big question that demands a proper answer and it says it all that we all are gambling for profits.

We all make attempts of doubling our money that's why we engage in gambling, those that gamble for fun has other streams of income and don't depend on gambling to survive but those that don't have a source of income outside betting depends on it and are out to make profits, no one would want to waste his money on bets without wanting to be profitable.
