Personally, I see this fight as nothing more than a way for these fighters if you can even call them that to make some money. Sure, Jake Paul has built a popular persona for himself, but he doesn’t really interest me. I won’t be watching the fight live, it just doesn’t entertain me the way it seems to entertain those who got caught up in the hype surrounding his previous bouts. I’ll just check the result later. I have no intention of placing a bet on this match though, if you look at the patterns from his past fights and consider how much he loves money, you could potentially bet on the underdog. That said, I certainly wouldn’t recommend doing so.

I think the date is telling as well.  I doubt Jake believes he'll be spending Christmas with a broken nose...  Seems like he is instead giving himself the gift of a boxing win to establish himself as recovered from the last fight and give himself a nice little payday.  With Jake's injury being one that can be recovered completely from, I think he probably wins this fight easily so long as he is in shape, which I am sure he will be.  Might be worth betting this one depending on the odds.

He was popular on YouTube (that's where you need to be a marketing genius to make yourself popular and he succeed, he did too many things right in terms of marketing but what I mean is that I don't see anything genius in his boxing marketing, otherwise everything was perfect in his lifetime) and then he started very smart thing, he used his background of a Disney boy and started training in boxing, hired very good trainers and has all the money and the environment to optimally train, eat and recover.

This is kind of a safe fight for Jake Paul to revive his career after that devastating loss to AJ. For me, it would be better if he will just face either Darren Till or Francis Ngannou, but he chose an unexperienced fighter... at least in boxing.

It's not a rigged fight if you will ask me, but it's more of a money fight, and for sure those die hard Jake Paul fans will waste their money just to watch him. If you're not a Jake Paul fan, I doubt you will spend time to watch this one.

Also, let's not forget that Jake Paul suffered a serious injury—the aftermath of a knockout, with his jaw broken in two places. I think you have made a very popular mistake If a guy does kickboxing, karate or any other combat sport discipline that mix kick and punches, that does not mean this guy cant punch. Rico Verhoeven is a perfect example; he nearly won a boxing fight against Usyk (or looked very-very-very good for a non-boxer).

Since that fight is professionally sanctioned. Then I don't have any doubts that both fighters will take this fight seriously. Because no professional fighters want to lose. If there's big money bribe maybe, but I don't think its happening in this fight.

But if this is just an exhibition match, maybe we can see a pure scripted plays. Since they don't have any records to protect in that case.

He has a titanium bar that holds broken parts. If even jaw gets broken, then it will be from the other side If I was him, I would not bother about jaw being broken again. If I had the same amount of money he has, I would not bother about jaw at all If he earns millions, paying even a hundred thousand to fix broken jaw is nothing. Even though broken jaw is nasty, that isnt a life changing injury imho (but I dont want to try to prove that). I would be worried more about back the head punches than about broken bones.

With this fight I am more confused with fight date. It is in 7 weeks only. Is that enough for a proper camp? For that level of a fight, probably yes, but for a true professional top boxers, I guess not. That is what should point us on 1) fight might not happen 2) it will be boring, rigged, sparring fight.

There is a massive difference here. Rico Verhoeven had a huge size and reach advantage over Oleksandr Usyk, which is why he was able to dominate and lead on the scorecards until he got knocked out. Cedric Doumbe is completely different—he’s the smaller fighter. Jake Paul has all the weight and reach advantages, so you can't expect the smaller guy to just go in there and dominate the exact same way.

Kicks are generally very effective because they are much more powerful than punches. Depriving a kickboxer of the ability to kick means depriving him of 60% of his fighting techniques. Although, as far as I understand, Doumbe can throw powerful punches. Still, a kickboxer's stance is very different from a boxer's.
