-snip His meeting with Paul will be a professionally-sanctioned eight-round cruiserweight clash, contested at 200lbs with 10oz gloves. Yeah, I've seen other articles saying it's a sanctioned fight. Thanks anyway! The fight will be a boxing match, with an opponent experienced in kickboxing. I couldn't understand... I think it's a tactic. They look for a fighter in other fighting sports who has a good record, in this case a World Champion in kickboxing, and then fight them in boxing, and when the fighter who isn't used to boxing and its rules loses, they can inflate the win as "I beat a World Champion". I mean, they basically did it with Mike Tyson.

I think you have made a very popular mistake If a guy does kickboxing, karate or any other combat sport discipline that mix kick and punches, that does not mean this guy cant punch. Rico Verhoeven is a perfect example; he nearly won a boxing fight against Usyk (or looked very-very-very good for a non-boxer). Rigged fight or not, each time Jake is fighting a more serious opponent and it makes harder for his opponent to fake fight. Doumbe - active and young fighter, maybe in his prime even. Someone think he wish to ruin his future career with fake fight? Well, I agree with what you said to me, but I guess you'll also agree me if I say that, putting a fighter in different arena or ring have a massive effect on their performance. Yes, I agree that there are some who are doing well on a boxing ring just like Verhoeven, but I believe that majority of those who started on a different sport are having a hard time fighting in a boxing ring against a pro-boxer, or in this case, a not-so-pro boxer. I guess the safest thing that I will say is that, Jake Paul will take this fight seriously even though he's fighting a boxer who only has a record of 1-0. I'm always against boxers underestimating some not pro-boxers.

Kind of pathetic and stupid, in my opinion. I would be the equivalent to seek for the world champion in chess and then convince them to partake in a Tennis match against one. Obviosly, one would have advantage over a chess player who have never practiced tennis professionally. In the end, one would say one was able to defeat the world champion of chess, but one would not mention in which context and discipline one managed to defeat them. Sincerely, all these events being put together by Paul and his family seem to be nothing but just for show and memes. Otherwise, he would face professional boxers one after another, not to use those tricks in order to make himself to look better on the internet.

I understand your point but let's look at how experienced Cedric doumbe is when it comes to fighting generally and how long he has been training, comparing him to Jake Paul is quite disrespectful. Although in a fight it is possible for anything to happen so it might not really be a bad idea to bet on Jake Paul and hope to get lucky but that is actually a risky bet to place because Jake Paul has lower chances of winning but like you said there might be a secret for the two fighters to avoid getting knocked out, which is actually a manipulation in the game, but that might not be the case

I don't expect him to return to boxing. After taking a punch that breaks his jaw, it will never be the same again. His jaw will definitely be more vulnerable if he takes another hit. Returning to boxing in this situation would be extremely illogical. He should have treated it as an adventure, enjoyed the experience, and known when to walk away. I guess he wants to get his jaw broken again. They're willing to do anything for money. He could still make a living by continuing his YouTube career, but he's willing to take much bigger risks because he wants even more money

For some reason, I associate him with hype and money. I have no desire to view him in any more serious light. Sure, he has throngs of fans, but most people happen to enjoy that kind of spectacle the hype and all that goes with it. In any case, if some people like it, then why not? But I’m not a fan of such events. I just hope it doesn’t have too much of an influence on the minds of young people, who might dream of traveling the world and presenting themselves in the same way. I suspect the betting volume for this fight will be absolutely massive.

Oh no, another rigshow by this self proclaimed boxer? Man, I was honestly hoping he had enough after he had to swollow this humble pill from the last fight. Obviously it's all about the money, as are most things in this business, but especially in the fighting game. But come on, these staged fights (and they can't even hide it anymore) are so boring, yet they generate so much money for whatever reason. I pray this Cedric Doumbe guy (I don't even know him) will send Paul another retirement invitation so we finally don't have to read about him and his nonsense any longer. He should have enough money by now and obviously he will never be regarded as a real boxer, so please just hang it up already!

But there's more money in boxing, so we can't blame him. If he can't beat his match, at least he can make massive amount from the speculated secret agreement with this boxing event. However I believe that Jake Paul has reliable experiences over Cedric Doumbe, but due to his past experience with his broken jaw, I'm not really confident seeing him this time winning the match. He could have spend a longer break than put his life at risk again, but then again money works in ways we don't see it. Hopefully this will turn into a good match.

Some people have reasons to believe that Jake Paul would win the match but my take on this is that it would not really be possible, Jake Paul is less experienced compared to Cedric but for some reasons a lot of bettors are placing a bet on Jake Paul to win. Jake Paul doesn't know when to quit, after the previous matches asides from the one of mike Tyson competed against him but that game was Fixed.
I love to see your pessimistic to the Jake Paul. Don't you remember he's fighting a kickboxing who had only one boxing game on his entire career. It's obvious majority of people are taking Jake to win because this game is dedicated for that. Dude i tell you this is actually a tune up fight for Jake Paul. He's shoulda won it. I see this as an entertainment fight and there's nothing serious here. It has also probability the fight to be scripted too.

Omg and it’s in Dubai. Love him or hate him Jake Paul makes breadddd. This MF is double dipping in boxing and now with the casino & probably making money in so many other stupid ways it’s maddening. Meanwhile Logan Paul looks like one of the lost boys because Jake has completely stolen his lime light. I remember when everyone used to be talking about Logan but now I feel tables turned and it’s mostly Jake everyone hears about now.

It's just my assumption, but yeah, it's a pathetic tactic, but sadly, there will be people who will eat it up, especially Jake Paul's fans. I think that's the whole point of it, it's all for show and money. I mean, they do make a lot of money from these fights, so it's not surprising that they will continue doing it. And when he fought actual boxers who are known in boxing and not retired, he lost and even had his jaw broken in two pieces.
