Hello everyone…

In every great community there is a historical story to tell….Bitcointalk has one of a kind really interesting and deserving story to remember.

It may sound funny but honestly when I think about Bitcointalk, I really don’t just see a forum where people come to discuss only Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and occasionally disagree to agree over almost every thread that has been created…

Well, I have come to understand that years of history, legendary discussions, the heated arguments between each other, unexpected friendships, brilliant ideas, that funny moments, and people who helped out to sharpe the community which have survived through difficult time and different generations with different perspectives, culture with Bitcoin…

And I want to be honest guys some thread really deserve to be in a museum for people to watch and read through!!! 😁 and most members probably remember things that even Google would struggle to find that how most people can be!!!😁

But aside that this is what really inspired me to create this documentary, well it was worth the effort….

Imagine a simple message board where a few people discussed a revolutionary idea that would change the world of money.

That place was Bitcointalk.

In 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto introduced Bitcoin through a whitepaper. In 2009, Bitcoin came alive, and on November 22 of that year, Satoshi opened the forum that would become a home for Bitcoin enthusiasts worldwide.

Early contributors like Martti Malmi helped the project grow. Members discussed code, mining, and the future of digital money.

In 2010, the famous Bitcoin Pizza Day story began when Laszlo Hanyecz offered 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas. What seemed like an ordinary transaction became a historic moment.

As Satoshi stepped away, the community continued building. Bitcointalk became a home for cryptocurrency announcements, technical debates, signature campaigns, friendships, and unforgettable memories.

Over time, member ranks, merit, and trust became part of its unique culture. But the forum also faced challenges, including scams, spam, and security incidents.

Today, Bitcointalk is more than a discussion board. It is a living archive of Bitcoin history, preserving the ideas and contributions of generations of members.

My name is Mr Reporter, a Bitcointalk Hero Member. I created this documentary to celebrate the forum and preserve its memories for future generations.

Well I know this topic is not a new one but I wanted to take a big journey back in time from the beginning of the creation of bitcointalk.org….

Well I know that the creation of bitcointalk the contributions of the early members, the famous bitcoin pizza day and many events that helped to shape the community are to long to be add in a video clip….i just wanted to celebrate the moments which from time to time more are on their way….

Most of our big grand fathers that remember when bitcoin was just an experiment? Now imagine telling someone back then that one day, people will become billionaires and millionaires even through am not one either 🥹and those conversations are now coming to life…

It so funny that many old members could not even remember their first post, their first merit, or even that beautiful moment they discovered this forum….well some could not even remember how there internet connection was slower than a bitcoin transaction confirmation!!!😅😅😅

Well honestly putting this Ai generated documentary together was an exciting and great experience of it own…. It involved research, narration, selecting historical materials, Ai visuals storytelling, and video editing. It wasn’t simply about putting pictures together; I wanted to bring different moments from the forum’s history into one story but it was not possible I wish I could…

This documentary cannot capture every memory, every legendary post, or every person who contributed to this community, there is simply too much history for one video.

As been part of the family I thought to create something meaningful beyond ordinary forum discussions Something that celebrates the people, the history, and the memories that made this place special….❤️

To most veterans members who were there when some of these stories were been written…please would like you to share some beautiful memories you carry along???

And as for newbie members a joyful welcome that you are also part of the books, we are all part of the story that started long before many of us arrived…

And finally, to everyone who has contributed to Bitcointalk in one way or another, this little project is my way of saying thank you.❤️

Random users may find this interesting but users on the forum will likely not be interested in a generic summary of things they are already aware of. If your target audience are forum members you will need to offer some more niche content about the forum with an entertaining spin on it. We had this with the last bitcointalk documentary series we had some years ago.
That project showed that there is interest for video content if it is done with effort.

To be precise, the first Bitcoin forum created by Satoshi was not on bitcoin.org, but rather at http://bitcoin.sourceforge.net/. That original SourceForge forum served as the initial discussion hub before the community migrated to bitcoin.org/smf (which eventually evolved into BitcoinTalk).

If you're making a documentary, you really need to know your facts first.

Well  you should also know that am still learning the forum myself, and it still sound somehow but I understand that there are things about Bitcointalk, culture and history that I have not fully appreciate yet which with time i might get to it, that if am still alive.


Well putting it aside, main reason why I created this documentary was not to necessarily not telling you or any veteran members a story of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk which many post has been made about it but let put it this, I was  trying to understand this from my own perspective well using Ai created video to bring some of those moments back to life, especially for newbie members and people outside the forum who may never have come across those stories…

I really agree that a three minute video could not cover the entire history of Bitcointalk, That was never my intention I just wanted to share love by creating that video…

Hope you are not forgotten that Short documentaries exist too bro. And using AI tools doesn't automatically disqualify a video from being a documentary….

A big smile to that…honestly thanks for the feedback I really appreciate the feedback more than you might imagine, I don’t know of anyone do have such feels sometimes when you put in all your time, that energy, sleepy night into re creating something, at the end of the tunnel you might overlook some certain thing which others can not easily notice…

The truth be told my intention was never to make video which are looking so dramatic I just wanted to contribute something as meaningful as everyone in the forum, in my mind am not going to pretend I no there are some areas I have lapse….

With time I could become better at it, if I keep experimenting and trying to improve with the little resources that is available to me…and the background sound I will work on that in the next video….

Thumbs 👍 for taking this initiative. Taking your time to build content for this community really takes guts this because members over here really knows their history in and out.

Just take this feedbacks as a cheat code, not what will put u down. This community is not really a place that do get wow with fancy visuals, they do so much care about deep lore and accuracy. That why you were call out about the early SourceForge days. You actually have done a great job @Mr Reporter.

Keep up with the experimenting . Dig up the obscure forum stories first and get 100% facts right. Than you package up your research’s with your AI tools. Cheers for better performance ahead 👏

Your channel is new and this is the only video you have posted in the channel, I have a few suggestions and advice for you.

• If your target audience for your channel is the forum, you have to do more to exit the forum members. Those information in your video will wow non forum members and they'll likely subscribe for more. But for forum members, it will be difficult to excite us with the information we already know.
• You can consider to rename the thread and give it a brand name such that when you post videos subsequently, you won't have to create a new thread, rather you will update this one.

The idea might be interesting, but in fact, for a first episode, it has a lot of room for improvement before it can move forward.

It starts with real images from the forum and other elements related to Bitcoin. Especially when talking about the forum, there need to be images of the forum. Not of a non-existent forum invented by AI.

I know that making and editing videos isn't an easy task. So, good luck if you really want to create something of "value".

We talked about that in our local board, and for me the most likely explanation is that the target audience is too narrow so making those videos wasn't worth the effort. Those were very good videos btw, especially compared to this one. I am going to quote myself replying about the low number of views (translating):

Op there was no need to use capital letters or upper case throughout the subject. I could still remember when The Sceptical Chymist said that, "All Cap" of the subject doesn't feet or good in a topic instead using start case or title case (capitalization) is better, we know that you are trying to captured our attention but with the initial capital letters case too we can see clearly. Aside that there are threads on the historical background of the forum which I have also read in years back.

I think it got lots of views relatively at the time. YouTube is a difficult platform to break into, millions of videos are uploaded per second all trying to get pushed by rhe algorithm. The bitcointalk show was creating original content with no attempt at spamming hashtags or click baits but still getting lots of views on the first few videos. The videos were uploaded sporadically too with no shorts inbetween to grow the reach of the account.

If they were still posting till now, I reckon the niche will be a lot larger and so will the views.
