I don't have problem with this initiative if their intentions are genuine even though I have not benefited from it. My question is the timing of this is suspicious. They called it relief fund but I think it's election strategy. Since the removal of subsidy, people have been suffering but nothing was done since until when election is around the corner? If its truly a relief, it should have happen long ago and not just now.

They know how money can suddenly change people and that's why they using the same pattern as usual to share money when election is around the corner so people can remember them during election. Yesterday in our social cultural group, a friend among us in that social cultural group was saying something related to what you are saying right now, and when i first saw it, i thought it was a scam until my neighbors were discussing about the 50k that federal government has credited their opay account using the code above, then i gave it a second thought of trying it, and when i dialed the code, this is the massage that pop out is: This phone number is not on the NERSI list yet, Names are added in batches, if you are added, you will get an sms, NERSI Hotline 07000222222, i don't really know the plan of the federal government with this free money that I'm yet to qualify for it and mean while it is not everyone that is eligible for this offer, truly this upcoming 2027 election is the reason behind these.

Right from time, all these free stuffs doesn't move me so I will never give it a try no matter how many persons that confirmed the disbursement to those who are eligible. Election is around the corner and they want to use the name of relief funds to buy the votes of voters, it won't work this time again. If it's true that this payment is real then it means that the 2027 election will really be hard to rig because I have seen the efforts of the ruling party in trying to convince people to vote them in again, if they know that rigging will help them they wouldn't have been putting this so much effort in using different strategies to campaign for votes.

Nigerians are very quick to forget the sufferings and hunger that they have faced in the past three years of Tinubu's leadership once they see little money sent to them, what is going on now is a pure strategy for the upcoming elections and from this they are beginning to buy the heart of Nigerians to vote for them in the elections and I trust Nigerians they will equally forget their sorrow over the years and vote for APC if only they can sell their votes for 3 cups of rice then how much more when they receive 50 thousand naira. I fear for what will happen in 2027 if Tinubu continues.

Yeah the federal government or let's say the CBN government or those who are in charge of the 50k disbursement chose randomly (allegedly).
As for the criterias, I don't know about that and I haven't heard anything concerning it yet, so probably there's no criteria to receive the 50k.

Becoming an advantageous from what the government is doing is by luck, it's just like this raffle draw they do if you are lucky you get picked up, fews persons will benefits from this but what you will hear next is that the federal government gave all those using opay and Moniepoint 50k meanwhile it's just for few persons, although i haven't tried mine because all these doesn't move me, at first I even thought it was scammers looking for desperate Nigerians to scam. But if this is a way for Tinubu to think that we will vote for him it's a lie although some fools will still vote for him but the question is can 50k be enough for you till another 4 years.

You nailed it all! for three years now Nigerians have been complaining about hardship while the government is claiming that things will be okay. It's now that election is around the corner they're deceiving citizens by giving out 50k that will not even be enough for them to fuel their vehicles, saying that that same token will drive out hardship, e no go better make them reduce costs of economic. I have not received anything, but I have seen a lot of people who are receiving which I see as a very good development, it is a very good development since our corporation is actually working, if the Citizens are United our leaders will not have peace of mind, because we are the majority and minority cannot frustrate majority, unless they are not united. With this unity we can come out in mass to vote at this government. One thing I want us to understand is that assuming the presidential rally of APC in Kaduna went as expected, honestly we will not see all the things we are seeing now, after all it is all our money which I am also praying to collect my own, this government have see us finish and that is why they decided to play us but God is bigger than them.

It's true, they might have even planned everything down. Whereby they will choose just 1000-5000 lucky Citizens out of over 200M. You need luck to be among the eligible ones. I tried that nonsense up to 5 times yesterday, I just gave up since they said I am not eligible. Later I went on X and found out their stupid criteria to be selected. They said they are only after the poor households,  did I tell them I am rich. But if they really want to give the whole population they will be spending almost 8 trillion naira+. I don't know if it's part of their campaign or not, but  you can collect it and vote your own candidates.  They are not really smart at all.. Even if they want to do this relief fund of a thing it shouldn't be 60-70 days away to election that they're now deciding to give us money that didn't even get to 1/4 of the population.
