Setup

Each box should contain the following:
(1) Board
(2) Finned Heatsinks
(2) Thick purple thermal pads

Thermal Pads/Finned Heatsinks go on this portion of the board

Unscrew the screws under the heatsinks

Peel off the film on the Thick purple thermal pad (Front and Back), stick one under each heatsink - *Be sure to poke holes where the screws should go*

Screw in the heatsinks to the board

Wipe all of the thermal compound off the chips (if there is any)

Wipe all of the thermal compound off the heatsink (if there is any)

Smear (Don't Dab) the Antec Nano Diamond Thermal Compound on the chips. I've been told less is more but to full cover them.

Since the H80i's mounting kit simply doesn't work with these boards you will have to do some weird stuff unless you want to buy correct standoffs (I Found that buying just the nuts was easier)

I Labeled the following image to make it easy (This is the mounting kit that comes with the H80i)

A goes under the board just as it is
D (The Standoffs) screw into A on top of the board (Longer Side)
B goes on top of the cooler first (To create spacing to get a tight fit
C goes on top of B on the cooler
Use the #8-32 Hex Nuts to attach the cooler to D (The Standoffs)

Once you are done it should look something like this:

Screw the Fan that came with the H80i onto the Radiator with the screws (E) located in the mounting kit

Now to prepare your PSU

You only need the following cables:

2 x 6 Pin PCI-E - (Plugs into the Board)
1 x 24-pin ATX cable (Paperclip trick to turn it on - http://www.seasonic.ru/media/uploads/jump-start-3.jpg)
1x Sata Power Cable (to power the pump)

Once you have the PSU setup, plug your PCI-E's into the board (Make sure your PSU is off guys!)

Plug your the cord from the Cooler into the Sata Power Cable and into the board (Sata is under the board in C) (into the board in B)
Plug your Fan on the radiator to the board on any of the open places (I put mine in A)

Now plug one of your Port USB A Female Slot Plate Adapter (5-Pin) into the board

Plug your USB 2.0 A Male to A Male Cable into the USB A Female and into your computer (host)

Download the Latest CGMiner - http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/

Install WinUSB if needed - http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/zadig/

Start it up and it should run!

I highly recommend you have a large fan blowing on the board to keep it cool else it WILL throttle if you try to OC it. I use one similar to this THIS
You also should have it somewhat in the air so that the bottom side of the board can be cooled as well
I also recommend using Linux with CGMiner as it has been crashing with Windows somewhat

To OC simply make a .bat file inside your CGMiner with the following conditions (Thank you MrTeal)
Code:
cgminer.exe --hfa-fan 100 --hfa-hash-clock 720
pause

Here is my mining address with 2x Prospectors on it (Prospector1 is the worker name)
http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1FscNBYzd5CqDzUVQ9YapLQNtLbswkM4NL

Here is the latest screenshot of CGMiner with the 720 OC Settings

Here are some uncropped pictures Smiley

So $2,000 plus another over $200 for the accessories for 512 GH/s?  The new 1 TH/s ants are about $3500 (probably less when the next batch goes up for sale) and don't require a long guide on how to set  them up.

Sad

Guess I could have just said to plug it into a psu, put the cooler on, plug in the usb and hash.

Short enough guide for you Tongue

Please keep all discussion related to the setup of the VMC Fast-Hash One Prospector mining board.

If you have nothing to say about the setup and instead want to voice your frustrations, or complaints in an unproductive and/or openly hostile way, there are countless unmoderated threads for you to join both in the securities and hardware subforums.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Should try putting a NH-D14 or similar on one of those boards if they use the socket 1150/1155 mounting holes like it seems they do? The closed water cooling kits are overrated and the top of the line air coolers usually outperform them so would be interesting to see how they would fare.

There's a practical limit to how much heat an air cooler can take out - sitting on about 450w going through the chip I think an air-cooler will struggle. Besides, the top of the line air coolers that *may be able to take away that level of heat will cost the same as a closed loop water cooler.

Water coolers offer much better performance.... The Dark Rock Pro 2 seems to be the best performing air cooler but its more expensive than the corsair h80i which vastly outperforms it.

It took awhile to get all of our logistics in place for orders.  We now have the products boxed a ready to ship.  All we need to do is put a FedEx address label on them and FedEx picks up at our warehouse at 4PM PDT every weekday.  So, shipping will be a lot faster now.

Download the Latest CGMiner - http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/

Install WinUSB if needed - http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/zadig/

Start it up and it should run!

Heya, Ken I'm stuck at this part. CGminer doesn't see the devices on Windows or Linux, just a CD emulation device. I've run WinUSB but it doesn't detect the device automatically and when I force select the device none of the 3 drivers provided causes CGminer to see these devices.

What command line options did you use to start CGminer? And how did you get it to see the devices?

I've got the linux version of CGminer compiled with HashFast support specifically but it still doesn't see the device. It does run Block Erupters and a BFL Jalapeno just fine though.

Reddit told me to find a guy called Bargraphics but I can't seem to find him on IRC right now and you're not responding to our phone calls requsting tech support.

We've got 10s of thousands of dollars of hardware here sitting idle waiting on the VMC compiled CGminer we were promised.

When you open the zadig to install WinUSB it should come up automatically with the HashFast units.

Try plugging just one in to a different USB port (Maybe the port you are using is dead?)

Regardless once you plug in the HashFast Unit and if that unit is powered on it will show up in Zadig, then you just click the button to install WinUSB on it.

Once you installed WinUSB and you open Zadig it won't show anything if you open it up again.

Download latest CGMiner and just use the following to start it

Code:
cgminer.exe -o pooladdress -u username -p password -o backuppooladdress -u username -p password --hfa-hash-clock 720 --hfa-fail-drop 5 --hfa-fan 100 --usb HFA:1,BAS:0,BF1:0,ICA:0
pause

That should be your batch file.

Change --usb HFA:1,BAS:0,BF1:0,ICA:0 "HFA:1" to however many units you have. I limit mine to one because I like to configure each one separately.
