Hello Publish0x! CoinGecko Signing in!

"To date, other than CoinGecko’s official blog and mainstream social media platforms, CoinGecko has also participated in two other blockchain based content platforms - Steem and Cent.

It is interesting to see how all three platforms have significantly different implementations to the same idea and the community dynamics that resulted from it. We would like to be one of the earliest members of this platform and contribute to the growth of Publish0x. We foresee great potential for Publish0x and would not want to miss out on this platform."

https://www.publish0x.com/coingecko-publish0x-blog/hello-publish0x-coingecko-signing-in-xzpye

We are happy to play a role in Publish0x and contribute to the improvement of this ecosystem.

I prefer coingecko to coinmarketcap as it gives better time periods for comparing crypto prices. Also it appears to be quicker to load than CMC. I use both but usually coingecko for a quick check

That is great to hear! Super happy that you believe our site to be better and faster. We continue working hard to improve CoinGecko everyday and thank you for using us in checking crypto price & data!

Are you planning to add more fiat currencies to your API? If yes, I would like to request Ukrainian Hryvnia, since Ukrainians are a significant part of crypto community (if I remember correctly, Ukraine is top 4th country by traffic on this forum).

Overall it was really great to use your API as a developer, it's very rich with features and listed coins.

On a side note, I've noticed that for some reason Bitcoin's ATH price in BTC is always equal to 1.037 BTC, is this right? I thought it should be always 1 BTC.

Hi Coingecko!
Please check https://www.finexbox.com
buy-sell data.
80% of the data is false.
Actual trading is about 20% of the reported data
FINEBOX is a scam with trading data.
I tried to trade with more coins, but I couldn't sell anything.
I didn't buy my cheapest offer, but according to the data, I always bought my bids, but not from me.
It's SCAM!

You brought up a good point. Yes, will take a look to see how we can add support for Ukrainian Hryvnia.
Will also check on Bitcoin's ATH issue.

Do share where you use our API later on. We love seeing what people have built using our API Smiley

Hi

Would you be so kind, to update your section About Horizen (ZEN) ?
It says "Horizen (ZEN) is a cryptocurrency or a form of digital asset."

It should be something like this:

"Horizen (formerly ZenCash) is an incentive-driven application platform with optional zk-SNARK based privacy features that aims to provide everyone with complete control of their digital footprint. Launched in May 2017 (no ICO and no pre-mine), the platform is said to enable real-life use cases beyond the ZEN currency, including the ability to privately chat with others, publish information and go anywhere on the web with complete privacy."

https://www.horizen.global/what-is-horizen/

Thanks!

Hey! I think CoinGecko is currently using a "fixed" description for coins, they no longer show each coin's information individually. However, if it's updated for you it should show when people query for Horizen's info via API. For now regardless of what they update I think it'll look the same.

They currently have a competition where you can win NFT's - check their twitter post out: https://twitter.com/nftgecko/status/1115254338715131904

CoinGecko is usually pretty fun, they always have some kind of competitions and all if you follow their social media sites Tongue

Hi, the current description for ZEN is very elaborate and much more longer than that. Are you sure you want to update it?

Also, as noobcakes \mentioned, we're using a "fixed" description for coins. If you'd like to be able to see the non-fixed description you can pull the coin data from our API.

Thank you for your support!

Maybe you could change only the first sentence "Horizen (ZEN) is a cryptocurrency or a form of digital asset."  with the text from above, because Horizen is not cryptocurrency. ZEN is cryptocurrency, and only one of the product of this platform. Please use this quoted text instead this bolded sentence.

Further in the text use only ZEN as the ticker for currency. Thanks!

Greetings,

I would just like to clarify a discrepancy that has crept into your TAG page https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/tagcoin/trading_exchanges information.  Please be advised that TAG on YoBit and XTAG on NovaExchange are one and the same coin.
