I just asked the official China Merchants Bank about this issue via the same method, and they told me that they don't know whether it's true or false.

I just contacted btcchina.com online support, and they refuse to say whether 工行、建行、中行 accounts got closed.

So I doubt the credibility of that "screenshot".

Fonzie, I know you want BTC to crash. I wish it would too. But I can't rely on "images" or "chat logs" to make a good investment decision.

I guess people could still trade BTC locally there even if it's made illegal. And at least some Chinese can travel outside the country to cash their coins no?

I think the price should go up...
Because btc cant change to Yuan, it would be harder for underage / small player to change btc to USD. Let say many ptc that have less than 0.2 BTC would be over charged by "tax" to generated in btc/yuan to USD. And theres many people like that using faucet etc cannt change their BTC, let say 100k-500k btc dumped.

Anyway as long they got banned, btc prices would be normal again (less rumour)...

Why would it be anything like Gox? There are no solvency issues. I don't really know much about Chinese mining tbh. Black markets are fine, but they will never cause the demand spikes that we have seen in the past.
