not saying bitstamp will go under definitively.

but if you read the forums here you will notice there are disturbing delays in withdrawing both fiat and BTC from bitstamp

which is how the GOX debacle started.

a 2nd blow like that would devastate BTC

again not saying it will happen, but it should be something everyone considers

This is the lowest form of FUD. I'm with you on the market view, but not this. Can anyone vouch for this garbage?

withdrawals from bitstamp are undoubtedly taking longer than before on average, and there are apparently a serious of hoops to jump though for withdrawals for some.

again - not saying bitstamp is going under, but its something to watch closely. Especially since now as there is an obvious rush for the exits, the exchanges have to come up with the cash for all these withdrawals  - if they have been naughty and been playing with customer funds instead if segregating them as a regulated industry is supposed to (which doesnt always work AKA corzine) they ain't gonna be able to pay out.

As much as I believe in BTC long term, I don't think this drop is over yet. The dumping wasn't even started on the Chinese exchanges, so there is a good chance we're going to see another significant plunge. These price levels may not last long, but we haven't reached the bottom.

Waiting for that bottom seems very risky. I don't know about the rest of the world, but most bears and new users here are only waiting for that sign to go all in. With the sell orders that will retract in that period, I would not be surprised to see the price double in a few days when the bottom has been reached, and probably more if the crash continues.

On the other hand, buying now is risky too since it might go to 200$, but everyone here seems to agree that it's just a matter of time until we're back up, so in the "grand scheme of things", this option is still quite profitable and less risky.

An exciting time for Bitcoin this is Wink

Just wait for the alt-coins to be weeded out, that's the only bubble right now. Bitcoin will survive and be stronger in the end.

Perhaps nothing will change after 15th but I do understand it like a reasonable idea to wait and watch what  will happen.

I totally agree, but personally I think it's too late. If you're lucky, you might get in at 400. I guess we'll see.

This is bullshit I'm afraid.

No issues at all with Bitstamp withdrawals, SEPA's arriving next day as they always have. BTC instant (or a couple of hours for larger amounts)
