Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Two nights ago there was a massive thunderstorm here. It sounded like the world was ending. I actually went outside to make sure it was a thunderstorm and not an invasion and was relieved to see lightning flash. At some point though I remember being half-asleep half awake and hearing the storm thinking it was the btc price crashing. When I checked it in the morning it hadn't though.

what you heard was the Bitcoin price spiking.  Up.

Does anyone have sex life here, between watching and worrying about the Bitcoin action late at night?

After I wake up each morning and see Bitcoins up another .50 cents, then I have an orgasm.

Well if you lose money on the market wait at least 12 hours before you masturbate. I cannot emphasise this enough. If your brain associates losing money on the market with being quickly followed
by a dopamine releasing activity (such as viewing porn) you are rewarding yourself for losing money and that's a very vicious cycle. Only reward your brain when you make money.

 Cheesy Cheesy

this is turning out to be one of my favorite threads.  other than Bitcoinica ones that is.

i seriously was thinking of starting one myself along the lines of Sleep or Bitcoin? or Stategies for Monitoring the Bitcoin price while Sleeping.

you beat me to it.

I'm awake again - lovely sleep - nothing happened in the bitcoin world worth worrying about that my pre-set orders didn't take care of.

What exchange are you on, for those pre-set orders?  Mt Gox is not a big help in that way.

??  if you have a view about where the market is, you set buys and sells at prices you want to trade at.  I have a trading plan and stick with it - works for me.  Too many knee-jerk reactions costs money while patience and nerve also helps.

As a personal preference, I don't trade on Gox - I worry too much about getting funds out, no terms of service, and their casual disregard for users.

Or at least a better description.  It hangs down from the ceiling?  How tall is this mount?

So if you dont use Mt Gox, what exchange do you use to trade bitcoins?

The really big hole with MT Gox is you cannot do Stop Loss orders. You cant set a specific lower sell price to cover yourself if the market price goes down, it will just sell immediately at the next lowest price below the current price.

Now you can buy and sell above the current price  at a specific price, but Stop Loss is really what we need to protect our investments for markets falling on Mt Gox.

I dont understand why Mt Gox wont implement this.
