Hello Sir,
How can it goes to 10.000.000 coin ?
I did calculate it would be under 1 coin per month after 4.320.000 coins mined (23 months)...

Dev said they were going to talk to have an open community discussion about stopping the halving after 6 months, so the block reward would remain stable at 1.5625 - which would have blocks producing rewards (+fees) for 9 years.

Aye Sir, thank you Smiley

sCrypt ASICs are already out there and plenty. (Gridseeds and othe < 10 MH machines)

They are collaborating with multipools who are paying the same few "developers"/"cloners" to come up with the new wave of PoS+PoW shit coins. This is why you will continue to see these for the short future. Too much $$s are invested in sCrypt so they are not going away anytime soon.

Correct..Basically the Altcoin scene is in the middle of quite a few transitions and we want to leave our options open. It has always been our intention to update Logicoin throughout its lifecycle or face becoming stagnant.

So far we have internally considered:

1. Changing the rate that the reward halves after 6 months.
2. Going POS after 6 months which is probably going to be the most popular option but we want to see how the other POS coins do medium-long term.
3. Merged Mining which is probably by far the most difficult option but it also may end up being the most 'Logical' option Smiley

At any rate we will have quite a few months before a decision is to be made and it will not be done without gathering feedback from you guys.

In the meantime....Keep voting for us!

here's my 2 lgc.

i wouldn't worry too much about being listed on additional exchanges right now.

with the flood of asic miners looming just around the corner, gpu miners will be looking to point their existing hashrate elsewhere.

x11 is without a doubt the best alternative to scrypt.

what this means is that there will plenty of x11 multipools popping up to accommodate these converted miners.

there is already one x11 multipool that i know of http://www.coinmine.pw although they do not yet have logicoin.

if you've been following this thread, you may have noticed a post by louiseth1 from suchpool that kind of went unnoticed.

we will add it on our coin soon to be x11 switcher pool too!

in order for all these new x11 miners and multipools to succeed, there is one thing they will need. plenty of exchanges for their coins.

i think you guys can figure out the rest from here.

mine, hold and be patient. you will be greatly rewarded.

This is true and a relative inevitability, but it's a fine line. We're currently swinging back and forth around 1ghash (the network is actually the lowest I've seen since launch right now). Hash has gradually decreased since launch in proportion to profitability on Poloniex. There was a nice little pump there yesterday that brought us up to .00002999, still a garbage amount, but almost double where we are now. The lower the hash, the less lgc/btc value there needs to be to make it profitable.

If we want to stay off multipool radar, our holding hash - that is, those of us that are mining to hold through these high reward months, has got to stay far above pump & dump profitability. In other words, the best way to not get stabbed by a multipool is to generate interest from more long-haul miners. And the best way to do that I think is to encourage a dedicated community from the get go and develop some long term goals for this coin that we consistently work towards.

And I think the question that really needs answering is 'What are they going to be used for?'

So, with that in mind, how about we aim for something a little different, beyond the cut & paste 'merchant' 'auction site' 'vps' accepting coins thing. What if we built some simple games, or customized existing open source games, and tied the 'game currency' to logicoin, either directly or by exchange? Think from being able to buy boosts or extra lives with lgc in a puzzle game, items and improvements in an online rts game, all the way to 'extras' in an MMO (which, iirc, has been done, albeit rather poorly).

People spend big money on gaming. Even silly, simple games, as long as they're fun. It'd take some time to develop, but I think that's what we should be after - something that will take some time to develop.

This coin needs to be added to Coinmarketcap.com to gain some recognition. The submission form is here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1IZf5cBivam_93zENT_arFFuvWDidHGjWxoTMVmFSoWg/viewform

The only piece missing to submit it is a URL that shows the coin total in real time.

Secondly, the way to get it added to Mintpal is not to vote for it but start getting it enough volume on Poloniex. Most coins that have a lot of volume on Poloniex will get added to Mintpal. It is mainly shitcoins that get added through the voting system.

some nice action going on right now.

LGC/BTC  +489.3%    Last: 0.00009000  High: 0.00008  Low: 0.0000141
24-hour Volume: 6.43108424 BTC / 138556.97174644 LGC

Yeap. 3.031% of all the logicoins there is going to be this year, and 2.582% of all the logicoins there's going to be in the next two years, sold in the last 24 hours for 6.6 btc. I wonder how that's going to look 6 months from now.

Where is the p2pool-lgc source code? It's not on Github anymore.

Given the option, I always prefer to mine by running my own node.

loving all the pools for this.  maybe a multi-pool in the future.

Dev - i hope you understand what potential this coin has. it needs to be polished up before it gets bigger.  i personally think it needs a new logo too.

All pools have been added to the OP, thanks to the owners for their support.

I submitted LGC to coinmarketcap so with any luck we should show up there soon. I'd also like to gain some user perspective on our logo. If you feel that we should go with something a bit more simplistic please let your opinion be known.

There's a few coins that are attempting to make the switch to POS over the coming weeks and we will be following them closely to see what the effects are. Just remember that over 4 million coins will be mined in the first 6 months of LGC's lifespan after that we are looking at a maxiumum of 67500 coins per month and possibly even less if we go with POS. Now is by far the best time to mine and hold.

We are working on getting a "Guides" section up on the website which will cover everything from Solo mining to hosting a p2pool and compiling wallets. We are hoping this becomes a useful community resource which indirectly brings Logicoin to the attention of new users.

At this point in time we need any and all help we can get in regards to marketing..If you feel that you can help out by writing an article about LGC or pomoting us on social media then please get in contact with me. We are very much open to suggestions and creative criticism so don't hold back!

Fair distribution is a nice thing but devs must understand that without early supporters no coin can achieve high levels.
That's why such aggressive diff retargets shouldnt be applied right from the start.

If you believe the coin will last thousands of years, then 1 hour or 1 day later in the mining makes no difference. We are all early supporters.

Fair launch/issuance is fundamental to the long term success of the coin. This coin is much better than Darkcoin and Hirocoin in terms of fair launch.

I had a look at the history of this coin, and decided to start mining.
