How would we know if this hash rate increase is an attack?

All cryptos are FIAT digital currency. Do not use.

that only effects the user of the exploit relative to other miners in the same pool. basically, all of the other miners in the pool would do all the real work but, the one using the exploit would get all the credit. it doesn't cause the block to be solved any faster or effect the overall nethash. talesfromthescrypt.org had this problem when logicoin first launched. one guy was getting 97% of the block reward. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=567114.msg6287887#msg6287887last i heard, only mpos pools are vulnerable. also, i noticed you like to share this fud alot. Sharing is fun.. isn't it ? People need to know. So tough shit if simple questions make you feel inscure. Learn from the past. Its never too late.

Everything points to the hashrate being fine guys ! Maybe it could be a little better spread out but its not a huge issue right now.
We have completly implemented DGW3 and fixed a bug relating to 32bit copies of the Windows QT. Once we get a winner from the logo competition we will push out a new wallet which will also include QR code support.
Logicoin will be one of the few coins that has manged to implement DGW3 so quickly!

not that i even know what qr codes are but i like seeing that the coin is being worked on. trade volume is up on poloniex and not long till reward halves. Only 800ish blocks left yeah?

Yeah LGC has got a lot going for it at the moment, yesterday i saw on my pool that the hash rate had hit near 6 ghz that's almost double the usual!

I'm reasonably confident that I've identified the big "Unknown" as BlackCoin pool, and I've tagged them for extraction stats. I can't be 100% percent sure, as they don't give information in the clear, but let's say I'm 99% sure. Be aware they just made a move, and will likely soon dump almost 30k, if they haven't already by the time you read this. If you happen to spot where they dumped their stash (poloniex? cryptsy? etc.) let me know with a pm!) Thanks tagged as well! That leaves no "unknown" at the moment PS: tips and bounties appreciates at LGC LLFwwEau6KsX6y49nDho4dBNZABt3Newpv

Prices of LGC is about to drop because of the blackcoinpool! most likely they will dump everything to pay out their users. damn....
They still have more than 23k LGC, and they're making up more than 70% of the LGC hashrate, so they'll dump again soonish. Best protection would probably be a new custom hashing algorithm, rather than halving: just throw in an extra stage of anything in the PoW hash, that'll be enough to not be vanilla X11, and enough to prevent inclusion in multipools. On the downside, it'll also require custom miners & stratum. That said, with more than 400k LGC on sale at poloniEx, there is quite some pressure anyway.

lgc.altmine.net p2pool* Dedicated servers in Europe with 1 Gbit/s connection and DDoS protection. * No user account required. * Instant payouts when blocks are found. * 0.75% fee. Update your p2pools before block 43200. I have fixed an error.

The reason why multipool is with us is that we are the most profitable coin. The more hash rate we have, the more protection we have against 51% attack. The extra hash will also drive up the difficulty and make the dump at lower price less likely. That is a different way of looking at the effect of multipool.

Love this Blackcoinpool timing, right before the reward halving. Profitability is rather funny now. Not sure how we can be the most profitable X11 coin with them doubling the difficulty, but whatever; I await with my buy orders on Poloniex.

so we chomped through a multipool's sell order and price still remained somewhat steady? Where is the problem? this seems to be one of the only x11 coins worth a damn if you don't like pos...not surprising that its one of the more profitable x11 coins to mine. how good is peter dinklage though?
