I'm developing a coin that is so anonymous, no one even knows what it is called or where to get it.

Wow, cloak seems to be in the lead.

Not surprising considering ll the new innovations they're bringing to the table.

I think I'll buy more tomorrow as a mater of fact. Sounds like a smart investment.

I have to admit, the CloakSend/PoSA looks promising, but I have not seen any proof that it's really working already. Closed tests and youtube videos rather make me suspicious. And no, I'm not attacking CLOAK, I just want to get hands-on features first.

Testing Darkcoin with Darksend+ works already and every can test it in testnet. In this state, Darkcoin is in terms of development, leading the race.

Cloak
Because everything stated. Plus the biggest sceptics who go into irc and chat with the devs always come back changed, almost like a religious re-birth. PoSA - the way.

The devs didn't impress me at all. I'm not sure why you're hyping this coin.

It seems nobody of the CLOAK-fans knows an answer to my question. Or is no answer the answer I was looking for?

I have to highlight it again. Please do not attack other coins instead tell us what makes your favourite so special!
Thank you.
sorry, my bad. i thought this was a thread to debate the different coins. if i have time later i'll start a thread like that and post the link here so we can get to the bottom of all the claims to superiority. may the best coin win!

Cloakcoin at a glance...
The in wallet btc exchange and marketplace looks interesting but…
(oops, just found out the in wallet exchange is actually just an api from a small centralized non-trustless exchange and not actually a decentralized trustless wallet to wallet exchange.)

Cloakcoin had a failed Ninja launch with a 7 day pow 4.5 million coin instamine that has a 6% pos inflation issue. it's also a self-moderated thread that has been censored to cover up launch issues.

so far cloak looks to be mostly vaporware but time will tell. anon devs with closed source unreviewed features is also troubling. it has lots of problems to overcome but it could give xc (1% 2%+ premined, 3 week, 4 million+ coin instamine, self-moderated thread) a run in the pos lane. i may still invest in cloak but i think i’ll wait for more solid info and the inevitable big dump before buying in. congratulations to those who instamined all the coins in the first 7 days. when those people start dumping just a small part of their holdings it will be epically brutal.

you may say that darkcoin also had a  instamine issue the first few days and you would be correct, darkcoin should have been relaunched. drk was however distributed very well over the next few months for pennies because no one knew how big the anon market would be.
the same can't be said of cloak and xc as the anon hype created by darkcoin caused instaminers to hold those instamined coins waiting for the perfect opportunity/liquidity to dump.

the cryptobloat cryptonote coins have worse compatibility issues than cloak and xc preventing mass adoption as well as bloating issues that are supposedly being worked on but it's just theoretical vaporware fixes right now.

darkcoin is a superior pow coin purposely based on bitcoin for easy integration everywhere bitcoin is (this is huge). plus i won't even get into the unlimited 2.0 functionality possibilities of the trustless decentralized masternode system or all the other drk innovations like x-11, dgw, sporks and the fastest/instant anon transactions (darksend+) on the market.
the only question is who will take 2nd place to darkcoin?

any questions?  Grin

I'm sorry, I stopped reading when I read "failed ninja launch". This launch wasn't promoted as much as some other coins, but there was a Cloakcoin thread on this forum since the very beginning, and I started mining right away. Everyone had the same opportunity for a week, and the network showed that people were mining Cloak. That's why it was upwards of 100 Ghz the entire week. Just because you and others didn't check the announcements thread often enough to notice does not make it an instamine. Do you mind explaining what launch issues occurred?
looks like this is not the thread to debate in but i may start my own thread where we can debate these things more thoroughly.

Interesting spam post MasterMined710. I look around the net and all I see is this message spammed on the cloak reddit, the comment sections where ever cloak is mentioned i.e youtube, news articles. It's nice to finally gain root access privileges to the FUD. Looking at your post history it seems you're a Darkcoin Masternode holder - so it's easy to see where the bias comes from. Anyone with any sense can just look at your post history and find out that the only thing that backups up your FUD is your financial agenda.

If you actually did any type of research you wouldn't be embarrassing yourself all across the internet. There's a big difference between a debate and just making BS up along the way to justify your claim. You and your kind are the cancer of the crypto market. Please go back to pushing shopping carts at Wal-Mart, your level of intelligence would be a lot more appreciated there.

Proof will be released after thorough testing.  The devs are not releasing a shit bird that doesn't work, as some other coins have done in the past.  The community has called for a finished product.  That is what they are doing, that is what is taking so long.

I myself want to see a finished product, or damn near, rather than a buggy, glitchy piece of software that doesn't work right.

Ah you're too kind. btw i just got my 2nd and possibly final masternode and i'm now looking for other anon coins to invest in. so far all i have is bitshares x (titan) but i have dabbled in (bought and sold) anoncoin and xc. cloak looks interesting (not at these prices) but yes i do ask tough questions before investing tens of thousands of dollars, weird i know.
One thing i look for is a nice friendly community that can answer all my questions. so far that has only been darkcoin and bitshares. Good luck with your community outreach efforts but it's probably best not to call potential investors names like "rabid trailer trash dog".

Yes I noticed this typo but it won't let me change the poll name, only inside text (there is succeed as it should be).

You know the poll now looks pretty diferent from previous version (I reseted this poll after 970 votes, you can see printscreen somewhere in thread).
My point is maybe nobody will care about CLOAK or DARK in half year period? Nothing personal against those coin, that was jus an example, maybe they are ok in longterm...

Well, I'm sure of one thing ..

I've got no idea which ( if any ) of the current crop of anon coins will prove to be the long term winner ..
So, I'm taking a portfolio approach and making equal bets on CLOAK/DRK/XMR ..
They all seem to have viable solutions, active dev teams and community support ..
Pass the popcorn !!

I have seen it myself, it is really working.  I help finding bug and test things.
I'm not a crypto expert, but I can't trace transaction on testnet blockchain.
There are plans to ask experts to test posa and try to retrace transaction because it is now possible with coinjoin tech.

I'm not part of the dev team, I'm just someone who kindly asked to be part of beta testing.
There are bugs.  It needs to be fixed before it is released for open-beta.

On a long-term scale, we think that either DarkCoin or RazorCoin will ultimately succeed. We don't endorse anon coins because we don't believe they can reach mass adoption amongst merchants, but for privacy they are good.

Look, I understand this is a long shot, and people here are going to groan. but its Aerocoin. Yes, it had a small pre-mine. Yes, its features are similar to a lot of the other anon coins. Yes, it has 6 followers on reddit. Yes, its worth less than a penny right now. And yes, I can hear everyone laughing at me. but hear me out...

For those who dont know.... Aerocoin is developing the marketplace AeroMe, a market place specifically for Aerocoin. Now to me that sounded (past tense) like what every other early coin begins to develop, but the dev dropped a bomb yesterday https://www.dropbox.com/s/nmittoyyode3s80/AeroMe-WhitePaper.pdf

He's expanded the idea of of AeroMe to cover Payroll, HR, Service Contracts, Auctions, smart property, and loans and collateral for smart property... Now, why is that significant? Well every regular merchant  PAYS money for programs or services like these.  Hes creating a system....the coin is just one aspect of it. Its no just the coin you're buying into... Its the fact that the system would be incredibly useful for spreading and accepting Aerocoin. You get services, which outside of Aerocoin, cost a great deal of money. This should be (if developed properly) a leading coin used by merchants. I see a lot of outside companies creating these services for crypto, but as a merchant wouldn't you prefer to have it built into the coin? fuck yes you would... If Aerocoin was bitcoin, this would erase the need for companies like bitpay, coinbase, circle ect . Now how much money are those companies raising in funding? hundreds of millions... The market cap for Bitcoin is large, but the market cap for all the companies dealing with bitcoin will be absolutely enormous. And when you buy into this coin, you're buying into both... Thats why Aerocoin this so intriguing.

Aerocoin will be the bank, the credit card, the auctioneer, the merchant services... and the coin.. you have to think about how revolutionary an idea that is...its an all inclusive coin. The dev is developing everything early and specifically for Aerocoin. If you build a foundation then a coin will have something to stand on, and grow. This is the way to start an altcoin, not just some piece of shit pump and dump clone.

Now yes... it could tank if the dev doesnt deliver, but i know hes extremely smart for coming up with an idea like this. Thats why im bullish, and ultimately believe it will be successful, This is more than just another coin.

Aerocoin

Judging from previous IPO's and people's willingness to throw money at them if the dev would've arranged an IPO with those specifications he would've raised 1000 BTC easily.
