... or better yet, just disable Windows Smiley

Cant. Wife uses the one rig to play her damned facebook and solitaire. Found her a Macbook I need to repair on my garbage route. Need to get that fixed so she stays the hell off my miners!

Macbooks can run linux fine Smiley. Then again, not much wrong with OS-X either.

I kind of think that's how ill get her introduced to tux. I tried showing her Ubuntu 10.04 a few times on a custom build for a friend, but it somehow confused her. (I dont for the life of me understand how, as it uses damn near the same looking-ish GUI)

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Try 11.10. Ive found many "newbies" really dig the revamped unity interface. I cant say Im very fond of it myself, but I can see the attraction for people who want a simple gui.

You would be surprised what your average Nebraskan throws away! as it stands, the screen needs fixed, and It needs a power supply, but that's about a combined $100 job.

Hell, I found a replica katana today, dull as hell, but I can fix that quick. Trash man by day, bitcoin miner noob and new dad by everything else...lol
