So no 4-pin connectors at the local Frys. Typical for them since they only carry half the stuff you need half the time you need it.

I may have a 4-pin someone in an old machine somewhere.

AMT, it really sucks you didn't included the proper cables or any documentation.

So the part that I need is a molex to 4-pin connector. I've found it online for $.93 but in order it to get here in a decent amount of time, shipping will cost $12.50.

That sucks. Do you have any pc recyclers in your area? I probably have a dozen or so around in old computers. Another option would be to use an older psu for the back-plane and build a null cable  so both psu's start at the same time. just throwing around some ideas. I'd like to see you up and running.

Thanks but I've already made an order. Thinking back I should've made a bulk order for all the other AMT victims.

Maybe I should make a "AMT fixit kit" with all the parts that should had been included in the first place.

Does anybody know what this connector is?

An old floppy drive power connector Huh  It says 5v on the right, which would possibly correspond to that type connector...........

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#floppy

Regtable said it is a floppy drive connector that powers the back-plane.

Why are all these connectors a mystery?

Isn't there a manual somewhere?

No.

No manual.

No instructions.

No chicken scratch on a bar napkin.

Nothing.

These AMT folks are insane!  What do they hope to achieve by shipping miners that need assembly without instructions?

The company I ordered to 4-pin cable from just called. They are out of stock and will take 2-3 more days for that particular part to arrive in their warehouse. I asked if they had anything else that would work. They found a Y cable that they would will work and they are sending it instead. The price for the new cable is more expensive but they are price matching it and sending it anyway. I received a lot better customer service for a 93 cent part than I did after spending 6 grand.

You can buy any cheap fan and just rip the cable
Make sure it is Pvm fan
It is a cable fan- connector right?

With no documentation from AMT I'm not 100% sure what it is. The fans supplied on the unit have 3-pin connectors which worked by plugging them into the 4-pin connector on the controller.

You can ask in bitmine threads. The Psb is copy paste from there.

I was very excited to see the first one hashing at 190. Then came the disappointment of 2 and 3. Then 4 climbed up but stopped at 100.

so far this is a $6,000 ant s1.
