I've had 6 phones throughout my life. My latest is a Droid. I do not like iPhones.

It was my first ever Mobile Phone:

Then I used:

And now I use:

I kind of would like to get a simple phone like the one on top. Something that I can use simply to make phone calls. I craving a little less technology now.

My relative has that nokia phone, the old models are for some reason are more tougher and stronger then the new model phones, even though they do lack the same functions, I still prefer old cell phones then ones that are out today.

Does anyone remember back when Motorola made the best damned phones on the planet, back before they suddenly started to suck a couple of years ago? I feel like now you basically have to get a Samsung if you're not an appletard, there's no selection. Don't even try to tell me that whatever new version of the razor Motorola is currently pushing isn't a stupid piece of crap.

I thought in the late 90s nextel made the best Cell phones, the trend was to have a beeper and the walkie talkie and walktalkie had the free air time so you woudlnt have to make phones calls.  I use to in bus and hear beep. beep beep from like half the bus.

I think you're a little older than me lol. My first cellphone was like in the early 2000s if I recall correctly. So I can't comment on before then.

i have an s3... don't plan to upgrade, since there's no need to. new phones that come out are only marginally improved. it's not worth spending $600 on a phone that basically does the same shit.

Interesting thread... I started with this (Trium Mars):

http://mobile.cdn.softpedia.com/phone-pics/Mitsubishi-Trium-Mars-2.jpg

Still got 1 around here somewhere lol. Then I got a 3310, a Sony Ericsson T230, Nokia 3110c and now I've got an old Blackberry Curve. What's interesting is that I kind of miss my old mobiles lol. The new models are anything you want, except phones.

I also feel like nowadays a cellphone starts to become a buggy piece of crap within about 6 months. This has happened to me with my last 3 or 4 phones. The first 6 months or so it's great, then it starts getting weird and lagging sometimes, swype texting gets harder and harder, all kinds of weird issues pop up. I take really good care of my phones so it's not that. Anyone else have this happen?

It is probably marketing tactic which made you buy another phone. Try phone without Operating System if you don't mind. I found out that almost every new electronic device I buy is worse quality that older stuff...

The best mobilephone I have ever used is probably the Nokia 3310 and the Nokia 6300
Fantastic build quality, and it works no matter how many times you drop your phone  Grin
