I have never ever scammed anyone nor i lied to anybody but any user can just come here, register and leave me a negative feedback for nothing and without any backing. I have also received a negative feedback from the real scammers because i confronted them about their scam?! WTF! My reputation has been damaged because of this and i don't want to open new account i want to clear my name! I have tried contacting scammers but no reply. What shall i do in this case? any help from mods??

It hasn't been damaged from my perspective. None of those are in my trust list or left any reference links.

I second that. Negative trust means nothing unless it's from someone you trust directly. (or indirectly?)

BTW, it states clearly that 'These ratings are from people who are not in your trust network. They may be totally inaccurate.'. That's the entire point here of having a WoT.

Thanks guys, your responses means a lot and kind of build me up a bit, especially from you John. Problem is when potential customer is visiting my thread and see red it will scare him off and bout 80% of users don't even bother to look in to the situation and check what the negative is for and who gave it. I think the trust system should be only based on communication between two parties like ebay (you buy something from someone or use their services and then you can leave them feedback accordingly) Just a thought

All but one are in the red to me. I always follow the Trust trail because it's well known anyone can leave feedback for any reason.

Hey!  (I already said hi to Jonh K lol)

Untrusted feedback means nothing.  You are still showing to me as 0 trust, not negative trust.

Take a look at my trust rating and see the negative feedback I have been left by untrusted members.  They are untrusted for a reason.  They could make a hundred fake accounts in an hour.

Words of wisdom here.

TL;DR: Your rep hasn't been damaged in any way if someone random decides to give you a negative feedback; it has to be someone in the WoT.

Thanks Vod and John, I still think new members shouldn't be allowed to leave a negative feedback unless there was some sort of communication between two parties. I, just like you always check what the negative is for and who has left it but majority of people can't be bothered and when they see red they immediately assume someone did something wrong and won't use their services. I might need some positives now to turn that red in to green Smiley

It's only broken if you don't use it correctly. Hell, nothing even forces you to listen to DefaultTrust - you can remove it and build your own trust list entirely from scratch.

Yet you still somehow get jacked off leaving it to others, whom some of did nothing to provoke?

I wouldn't say "nothing" as what you did is very suspect to say the least.

I removed default trust and am now much less stressed out by the whole trust system.  You can have some issues if someone on it decides to get all butthurt at something you say or do, but otherwise the trust system seems like an attempt to make things better.

Good Luck.
