I have an honest and potentially dumb question. Is this game going on on Twitter? If so, why do people need to post here?

This game is going on everywhere  . We have 2 parallel threads.  The main Twitter version designed to be more challenging and fast, forum version designed to be slower.

Normally, its not such a great issue if the game is rolling fast enough (it takes some time to switch between different accounts... And.. Usually its me who post 6th word in a row . Btw, one may also have 27 sock-puppets here on bitcointalk...

Together, we could corner the market. Switching is no problem. Different browsers. My brother does it at Mobsters II where he's a top player. He has 5 browsers open and bags away. Twitter is a lot easier. All I have to do is switch. In fact, I could create 6 new accounts, post a word to start and show you how fast I could go from word 1 to word 7. I only brought to up to the OP to make sure he has his butt covered, that is all. I do like the premise of the game. It looks fun. I would play for the fun of it. I like words. I once made a complete

You don't need to switch accounts at all. Just open up multiple Google Chrome "Incognito" browsers and log them all in at the same time.

 Thanks for your taking care of it! Sure, it is a weakspot. But. We've just started and small prizes doesn't attract skilled cheaters... There are reason to play with multiple accounts as far as there are few competitors, but it is not that efficient if rally is really hot (even automatisation like preprogrammed word sequence could fail because of twitter policies and delays) - one would better concentrate on word sequence rather than different accounts - large amount of people provide healthy competition, especially when we will anounce thematization policy (like ... the next round is animal-related words only and so on) or other special conditions (there are so many possibilities)...  
 No doubts, this game is not perfect - there are some anti-cheater vulnerabilities, but we are open for any improvement suggestions and always trying to keep it fun. Now we just need more folks to play. Matthew N. Wright, Phinnaeus Gage, please accept small 0.05 BTC nominal encouraging prizes for your help!
