The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

You know what I hate? That no matter how fast the internet connection is, it's always going to lag from the time you click on a page and the time it loads. When looking at the bottom left on Firefox, it shows that it goes through a number of different websites before it loads. I hope one day we can click on a page and it load instantly, as if it was on your local ssd.

I have very very slow Dang can you even torrent at that speed?! Haha.. I've been torrenting since I had 32 kbps download speed. Now I have more, but that's the beauty of the P2P network. It can take a week to download a movie at low speeds but eventually it will be downloaded; you keep resuming. Not so with direct downloads. You can't resume most direct downloads.

Sad to hear that. I usually download under a hour with 3.3 mb/s download on torrents.

I'd say a minimum 5-10 mb/s download and 3-5 mb/s upload. I do doubt that the balloons will be able to offer such speeds.

Then normal connection is test to comcast chicago servers. speedtest.net I dont understand it. 1000mbps > Intel(R) PRO/1000 GT Desktop Adapter NIC > LINKSYS SE2500-NP > Some linksys 1000mbps router fairly new I cannot wait to test internal network speeds should be around 133MB/s=133MegaBytes once I get my raid.

Did you know the forum is hosted by PIA? Last time I knew it was. Sponsored by Private Internet Access, a Bitcoin-accepting VPN.
You're right. @Nik1ab Your ISP is the one who is likely to monitor your traffic, not a PIA.

What the hell does that have to do with my statement? I said that you shouldn't use PIA's VPN service, because it could be monitored. PIA doesn't host anything btw, it's just sponsoring the forum. Your ISP is the one who is likely to monitor your traffic, not a PIA. US law can fore VPN providers to log all of the user's activity without informing him.

When will you start listening? I said the US law can FORCE VPN providers to LOG EVERYTHING the user does. It doesn't matter if they have a "no logs" policy or not. They have to obey the law or else their business will be closed by the government.
Yeah, TBP agrees with this, you have to obey the law.

I cannot wait for them to break down the doors of comcast. But from my understanding, I emailed google a long while back, a year or so ago. They said they are staying in kansas & colorado or cali or something of them sorts. Even though verizon has FIOS, they are just as bad and over priced as comcast.

But same question for you ... is there any stable long term server where you can download more than 5mb/s from ? High net speed needed for games, movies, or very big applications. But my experiences are, that every high speed server is paid. So yes I have "high speed" net but It is almost worthless because I download 1 out of 10 files with highest speed

What I find stupid is. One router e4200 http://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/E4200/ costs $60 $300. This allows me travel through my internal net at 125 MB/s (megabytes per second). So for $60 $300 I get 125MB/s speeds for life. Internet rates is double this in 3-4 months time. So why the fuck cannot we the "ALL" USA have cheap cost fast broadband/FIOS? It rots me.

AFAIK here, that only can be reached using a wired connection, and cost hundreds dollars lol. HSPA+ and 4G is still a rare (only few big city) and very expensive here. the only way to obtain a fast, and unlimited net connection is using wired con.

I did not precise that my connection is indeed standard cable connection. It is not by any means wireless. I don't have router or anything it is just cable from my wall. I plug it into my PC and voila - internet appears. It cost me around 15 $ monthly.
