I find hotmail aka outlook to be the best. Never had any issues with them, and I love the sweeping feature.

A lot of people do, so don't beat yourself up about it. There are a lot of reasons not to, for example, if you know a password has been compromised, you don't have to change it in a dozen different places. Most importantly though, you don't want to put your email's (or even worse, bank's) security in a 3rd party's (like a job site) hands.

Wait a second when you people say "hotmail" are you really talking about the relatively new Microsoft Outlook webmail? I have been experimenting with that and like it just fine.

You are really popular! hacked about 8 times? (You don't use proxies, right? ) , don't blame it all on them though and you better scan/change similar passwords as I doubt this is a hotmail vulnerability.

The lapse in security was almost certainly on your end.

Well Hotmail was not secure and it's probably still not secure as gmail.
Check temper data exploit, several thousand accounts got hacked that time.

that hack was widely exploited by the underground communities before it became known to public .

That exploit was back in 2012. Don't think that's relevant anymore.
Hotmail was not vulnerable to the heartbleed bug btw. Gmail was.

I stopped using Hotmail since Gmail introduced 2FA.

Not a fan of their scanning all emails though ...

Neither am I, which is why I've stuck with hotmail/outlook.  I assume though that all the emails are scanned no matter who you use.

I used gmail for a while but found it to be a pain in the ass, I also had my account suspended. Couldn't be bothered to get the account back after that.

Someone logged in 8 times this month from different locations. Could be because they're using Tor. No need for me to worry, that password is out dated and no other accounts share it.

Like I previously stated that email was forwarded over a year ago,  haven't logged in since. MS is at fault since their 2FA failed to protect the account.

My computer is scanned daily and clean,  programs I don't trust are run through sand box after being scanned.

Changing the password was a very good thing to do, but I'd also recommend running a full antimalware and antivirus scan to make sure they didn't lift the credentials off of your computer. I'd recommend Malwarebytes Free and SuperAntiSpyware Free for this.
