The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

"widely distributed". How do you plan to achieve this?

Simply register at ozziecoin.com/faucet/default.php and claim your initial 500 OZC. And every 2 weeks 5.04 Millions OZCs are distributed among all registered people. This is exactly the amount of OZCs that can be mined over the same period. So you can mine, you can only register and gain coins and you can do both. Every 2 weeks we have 10.08 millions new coins in circulation.

Non-technical coin. Use OZC to intro coins to everyday aussies: http://ozziecoin.com

Hmm strange method for distribution. I see how you don't need a miner anymore to get coins making access to the coins really easy. But how to you get people to sign up for the site? Whats the distribution like? thanks

It's not strange. It's just a way to make it widely distributed. And this distribution will not last forever. After the distribution is finished the only way to get coins is mining.

We have pre-mined 11.5 billions of OZCs to be distributed.

These coins are allocated on the following addresses (so you can audit):
oV5ctFnNZw8JZc6Xw8MSPVAbY8j4sghJR1
oJuEvpBVnweWSRoHeRMzy1S8conadX6iUH
oZF28qd4LpZtfQhDwyN6NzmahrKQfZ8P7W
oaH4nKihobaBRFwnxLaJMBVv3T2QfmfegN
ofeoUq1zJ9y3yLC7ouSEGiLTEfXqmiqctN
oPo45cBNivyRyxurRDntKzrS1srSWyD8M1

You just need an australian mobile number to claim and get the coins.

For your info the block reward is constant and it's 625 OZCs every 2.5 minutes.

Just posting here to see if you are still active there Ozziecoin guys, I have a project launching with clear goals related to listing on the Australian stock exchange, so I thought of you guys. I'm looking at printing up some flyers and handing them out with instructions on how to make a deposit with Bitcoin and then 'redeem a code' that gives them another crypto payment in return. So I'm looking at either creating a new coin or re-purposing an existing one that accomplishes this purpose. It's easy enough for me to include a description of Ozziecoin on the same flyer so people can play around with this for no money out, and then make a better decision about whether to invest in a further crypto, send me a PM or post on the ANN board for TPC to work something out thanks

Yeah, we are still active!!!!! And yeah. This is a great idea. Feel free to include ozziecoin on the flyer so people can have the chance to see how cryptocurrencies work.

im curious ...

where in australia are you? ...

how many developers are actually working on the coin? ...

#crysx

Perth. 1 Developer. Why does it matter?

because im in australia also - adelaide ...

took over a coin myself - granitecoin ...

i think you have a very interesting concept ...

and there arent very many australians that do this Wink ...

it matters because EVERY coin could use some help ...

where do you mine these coins? ... i dont see any pools ...

tanx ...

btw - voted lamb chops for you ... Tongue ...

Thanks mate for your very useful post. But:

1) I think rip-off is what governments and central banks are doing to you.
2) You are not oblied to claim ozziecoins.
3) We are giving ozziecoins for free for more than 1 year now.
4) An SMS cost is around 50 cents. But do you think this is the only cost we have? What about servers? What about our time developing it?

SMS is free and unlimited nowadays in Australia for your mobile phones if you have credit, just like Unlimited calling & Social Media usage.

If you are SOL and really need to make a text you can use a Telstra payphone booth and pay 20cents you can also pay 50 cents per minute for mobile calls & 40 cents for as long has you like to local numbers.

how much your share coin per claim in faucet distribution

Hi Mate,

Actually we don't charge any fee from each claim.

The developer group has been allocated 6.9 Millions ozziecoins, comprising 0.03% of the total.

This compares well to other digital currencies that tend to allocate 1% or more to the development team.

So the total pre-mined is: 11.5 billions to be given away + 6.9 Millions to developers.
