once total coins reach 1.5 million it is 25%

estimated 6 months away

u dont have to keep wallet open all the time
open it once or twice a month for 2 days is enough

coins gather coin age offline too
just u need to be online and in minting mode to compete for minting a block
once successful minted u convert all coin age of that coin pile into POS rewards

POS reward will be coins*age/365/2
example 1000 cons age 30 days
1000*30/365/2=41.1 DMD


once we reach total coins 1500000 the /2 will become a /4 (50% become 25%)


so if u buy 1000 DMD  now they become in 6 months 1250
and that 1250 will at the 25% stage which last a few years earn u each month ~ 25 DMD

some people say once we reach 25% POS stage lot people will lose interest
i dont think so because one of the things that affect the longterm increasing value is the constant decreasing inflation

and earning with the 1000 DMD u bought today now 40+ DMD a month
and if u keep earnings later on 25 DMD a month is still great value gain

regarding DMD Multipool and DMD Cloudmining payouts we have a delay because we have a unlucky BTC transaction that still not arrives at cryptsy

because its handled serial all following days and payout rounds are delayed until this problem is solved

no mining is lost just payout delayed

I made my first deposit into my wallet on October 1st yet I'm still not seeing any staking. The wallet keeps saying that expected minting time is one hour.  Am I doing something wrong?

If you deposited in 1st of October, then today are 9 days (min staking time). After 9 days you should start seeing first minted coins, but this depends a lot of you coin pile size. As I have seen in my case a coin pile over 1000 DMD mints after 10 days. So maybe tomorrow you will see some minted coins if you have over 1000 DMD and all in the same pile. (If you made only one transaction when you deposited the coins and didn't move them inside the wallet then you have one pile).

yea i have 10k DMD so that might be the problem.  The message is a little misleading saying i should see a reward in 1 hour.  Should say one day.  I see teh wallet hasn't been updated in a while.  I'm running 2.0.5.7 which i think it the latest.
