1) Make sure you are using the correct miner, you need the darkcoin version also called sph-sgminer.
2) Replace "--scrypt" with "-k darkcoin" and it should work.

I think he is mining with scrypt. The mutipool got scrypt also. summercoinpool.com got x11, scrpyt and sha multipool

Can someone please upload an up-to-date blockchain so i can replace mine as it is only syncing 1 block every 20 mins or so and I am 570 blocks behind.

I suggested to add Summercoin to Sharex, Sharecoin's Dev's exchange. I believe it will work out good for both, SUM and his exchange. Exchange will prolly have high popularity, since he provided % of it's revenue to sharecoin holders(% can be bought with sharecoins).

You can no longer mine SUM directly. so config on SGminer will do you no good.

replace -u with your wallet address. (or not you can mine for me if you want) 

Pool mines scrypt coins sells them buys SUM and sends to address.  No new coins are made only moved from exchange to pool then to you.
