Yesterday, I purposely took the long way home from Somonauk to Sandwich, IL, south of Lake Holiday to see if any fish were moving in the creek. After a few minutes I spotted a carp, then a few minutes later a four foot muskie.

Fishing is so much fun. One of my greatest memories as a kid was from fishing with my Uncle and Grandfather camping. They grew up in the bush and knew where all the lakes were that only a few people knew about. There is nothing like camping in the middle of the wilderness where only a few have ever been. Caught the limit for Rainbow Trout all three days we were there. Learned a great deal that weekend, some lessons still stick to this day.
Unfortunately, I haven't been in years. Just finished my firearms courses, so I see a trip into the bush in my near future. Fishing will definitely be a priority.

Are you going to give out invites to bitcointalk member once you buy it? I'd like to try it out. Good luck with that. @OP I've never gone fishing, but I plan to. It seems to me like it is something that I will really enjoy. Nice catch!

The last time I caught a fish I had to use my bare hands. Took a bit of wrestling but I eventually got the better of it

I fish for food all the time. Make sure you stab a dagger through their head when you fish them out, that way they don't suffocate.

BEST fish was a 50 pound Yellowfin Tuna off San Diego..

I remember being a kid, and going fishing for the first time. I caught a small fish, and after being excited, I was told to "throw it back". Me, being a child, and not knowing not to take it literally, I heaved it into the water.
The fish did not survive. Went from excitement, to sadness, in 2.3 seconds.
Lesson learned.

I have a lot fishing experience but I must say it is really boring for me I was forced so many times to go fishin with my father, and after few years I decided to never go fishing again It is totally boring for me and I must say I haven't got a hand for this sport.. Fishes feels that I am waiting for them and I caught maybe 5 fishes in my history I understand that there is fishing and there is fishing Maybe when I will have a chance to go for mackerel in Ireland then I will do it again

Nah, fishing is not for me. It is plain boring in my opinion. You just sit and wait... and sit... and wait for fish to catch bait. It is pure random also. There is no skill involved. You may catch big, fat, fish or little fish it depends on your luck and nothing more...

No skill? You should read this first: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fishing_techniquesObviously you will catch fish with almost no skill (eventually).

fishing is good fun indeed. My first time was great I caught like 5 fish and just wanted to do it forever. I wish I had a boat and could go out in the ocean and fish all day long in the summer. Glad you had fun.

Well, you know what they say: a bad day of fishing still beats a good day at work. Nah, fishing is not for me. It is plain boring in my opinion. You just sit and wait... and sit... and wait for fish to catch bait. It is pure random also. There is no skill involved. You may catch big, fat, fish or little fish it depends on your luck and nothing more...
No skill? LOL! You have no clue what you are talking about. It takes a lot of skill and practice to learn how to catch the elusive fish. It depends on so many factors. The time of day, the type of bait you use, how you move the bait, the depth you fish at, etc.
