TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings

The activity updating was changed twice over the past year or so with a new update fairly recently after the forum hack. Activity can now take a little longer to update but it shouldn't really be an issue. If you're active it will still update within an hour I believe.

well this way people who wanna reach above ranks must be active all days with one post to get 1 activity point daily soo in every 14 days they get into the balance of activity

Wait, what? Every day? Is that correct? So if i go away for a week, then come back and post 14 posts the following week (assume I left last night when activity updated last), will I get 14 activity points on the next cycle or not?

Not sure what you mean by this. You need to make at least one post in each activity period to get those activity points. If you miss posting in one you will lose those points forever. You can continue collecting points when you return but you will never get the points for the periods you missed posting in.

I too prefer to get my information about how the forum works from random third parties instead of staff.

It's you that doesn't seem to understand. You only need to make one post in each two week period to get the max of 14 points. It seems about half my posts in Meta are trying to explain this.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

you've reached your current activity limit. the limit will increase by 14 for every 2 weeks period that you posted in.

You'll become Legendary somewhere between 775 and 1030 activity. The staff doesn't decide when you should become Legendary, rather it's a random activity level in that range that's randomly generated when you register on the site.

Yep, but I've noticed (for me anyhow?) it takes about a day after the date in the OP's spreadsheet. Not sure why, but no biggie. Was never my intention to be here this long, I got sucked in and now here we all are.
