I tried to point my cgminer to stratum+tcp://vmc-pool.crypto-coinz.com:3333 but got a lot reject like
Rejected XXXXXXXX Diff 74/32 GPU 1 pool 0 (low difficulty share of 0.00)
No accepted shares whatsoever. Anyone has similar problems? I don't have any problem to mine other coins.

Are you using a scrypt-n miner?

Are you using a scrypt-n miner? scrypt-n miner? According to http://vmc.crypto-coinz.com/index.php?page=gettingstartedI thought cgminer 3.7.2 should work...

Thanks a lot. I then have a question, though. Can the modified version of cgminer mine the old scrypt coins?

I've never tried to mine scrypt with a scrypt-n rig, but I don't think it will work. The 100% reject rate is a certain symptom of using regular scrypt rig to hash scrypt-n though (made that mistake myself before). They are different algorithms which I believe are not compatible, despite being similar.

Thanks. It makes sense.

Thanks a lot. I then have a question, though. Can the modified version of cgminer mine the old scrypt coins? Use sgminer-t 4.1 or newer version (i use 4.1.271) and it will mine scrypt, scrypt-n sha-256 or any other algo u want. Ofcourse You'll need to specify the algorithm in the "sgminer.conf" file ! Add this line for scrypt-n : "algorithm" : "adaptive-n-factor", You can get them from here: http://sgminerwindows.com/http://sgminer.builders/https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/10379-ann-latest-sgminer-41271-commit-3d7167ce2c/Read about it here: https://github.com/sgminer-dev/sgminer/blob/master/NEWS.md

Now offering escrow for this project. Read the following carefully before sending
The way this works is that I will create an address specifically for this project. If you wish to use my escrow for this project you will have to send to that address. I will receive the coins and hold onto them until I receive explicit instructions from you on where to send them. If you want me to send them anywhere other than the address they came from than I will require those instructions to be digitally signed by one of the addresses you sent from I know this may sound a bit confusing but its actually quite simple and I will be here to walk you through the process if you need help. My fees are 0.02BTC or 0.9% which ever is greater and it will be taken off the top when ever i release or refund those coins.
If these terms seem suitable to you than you may send to the following address when ever you are ready.
What escrow? IPO is over please delete your post from here...

Where is the promised multipool VMC?!
We are struggling with the coder (he's from India) who is building the Multipool. Currently he is not available at all, we cannot reach him for days. In paralell we have contacted to a professional coder group (details later) They have professional website and several job references. They are way more expensive than the indian guy, but probably more reliable and will create it faster. Will keep You informed about the process, as we'll know any detail...

Very cool! Thanks!! I think I will give it a try. Since you are already a sgminer user, may I have a quick question? In sgminer, is it possible to mine different pools with different algorithms? Not at the same time... like in the "failover-only" mode?

Sure. You just need to list ur pools at the beginning of the conf file. Actually you can copy the whole cgminer.conf to sgminer.conf or just rename it

Sure. You just need to list ur pools at the beginning of the conf file. Actually you can copy the whole cgminer.conf to sgminer.conf or just rename it Ohhh sorry, i havent paid attention to: "with different algorithms" Unfortunately with the same conf file, u are only able to mine 1 type of algorithm ! But ofcourse You can mine on different pools inside 1 algorithm. If You want to switch between algos, You need to use a different conf file as well. Technically u just need to create an sgminer.conf for scrypt, and an other 1 for scrypt-n... (like sgminer_scrypt.conf, sgminer_scrypt-n.conf) When You switch, You'll copy it as sgminer.conf (overwrite) and start sgminer
