If you find that moneropool starting diff is too high for your CPUs, please consider move them to http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/#

moneropool starting diff of 25000 is way too high for most of CPUs, making your hash rate much lower than expected. Point them to http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu you will see the difference

Someone tried to brute force ssh moneropool.org and mine.moneropool.org with a botnet.  Roll Eyes

This is no longer possible and the servers are up again as soon as the DNS propagates to you. I will make the firewalls much more strict now...

Port 7777 has a starting difficulty of 2500. Anyway, it doesn't matter the estimated hashrate, you are still paid the same.

Hi I have the problem
Error: transaction <5a65b629b7559ae477c97e55e203da7f841b9df2da9f5f7a2813f98541c442c4> was rejected by daemon with status "Failed"

The latest version. How to solve it?
the same problem:

wallet says: transaction <xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> was rejected by daemon with status "Failed"
daemon says: transaction verification failed:  <xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

anybody who did any tx today?
Both GUI wallets (cryptonote/monero-qt) pulls "success tx" but realy it does not (there is no such tx in official blockchain)  Cry

I got this when I tried to use an old daemon to broadcast a transaction. What I did was kill poolstate, p2pstate and my blockchain, and my wallet file (NOT the .keys file the other one) and then re download the blockchain and open the wallet again from the keys file (just type the orig wallet name) and then refresh the new wallet from start. This is prob overkill i think you only have to kill poolstate, but good practice if you've got general problems. I don't know if we have the same problem, but have you done the four above things yet?

UPD
THX, it works well right now.
1 step - i`ve eleminated 3 files: poolstate, p2pstate, blockchain
2 step - i`ve downloaded new blockchain-file from the start-post link
3 step - i`ve launched original bitmonerod.exe & have synchronized blockchain
4 step - i`ve launched original simplewallet.exe & have refreshed *wallet*.bin

And new tx has been successfully done  Cool

All these frequent pool bump/advertisment are really annoying.
What about you create a dedicated "Monero mining" thread so you don't dilute useful info in the main one?

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

How about we put up a bounty to find the person(s) who initiated the DDOS attack on Moneropool.org and exact justice - cut off their fingers - All of them.

Think there is a hidden compliment in there. This coin is starting to gain some attention from some serious BTC'ers (e.g. Rptiela).
That is going to create a bit of a following. (It brought my attention here). Think we have a bright future. Hopefully there is a nice GUI wallet soon and of course
a few of the larger exchanges trading XML and we probably can sustain .015 btc for a bit. From there it is a race to see which Cryptos can hold (e.g. LTC).
Of course it comes down to Market Cap anyway, but still a good unit of measure.

BTC = Black Swan.
BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.

Everybody,

Want to join the fastest/most efficient pool? http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/#

This Monero mining pool has 3x faster share validation and lowest orphan rate on the market, thanks to Wolf's private code.

If you are mining using Wolf's miner, the fastest miner ever for CPU, you may find that Wolf's pool the best option because of his superior code optimization skill. He optimizes the CPU miner. Now he optimizes the pool software.

Hey,

joined your pool and everything seems to be fine but I get around 100h/s less on your pool than moneropool.org. Used to be 730 and it's 630 on yours.. Any idea why? Can you provide a GPU mining port with the same diff as monerpool.org?

DDos is making people divert their hashrate somewhere else and  helping more or less some  newly launched pools get more hr/s which is not so bad afterall, except the fact that the ethics behind this sucks.

Switch on pool - monero.crypto-pool.fr

That pool is having serious payout issues. Still owes me a significant amount of coins from days ago.
