if you have issues with syncing, please try locking your wallet for now so it doesnt stake. Good chance this will resolve the sync issues.

JUST FOR FUN,It has been discussed, so most of you know, ZimStake will probably end up with far less than the 6.5million total coins after POW ends. This is due to POS blocks being mixed in with the POW blocks and incrementing the block height, which causes POW to end quite a bit sooner. I'll sponsor a contest to guess where the total coin supply ends up at on block 12,512800 ZS to the winner, determined "Price is Right" style by whoever is closest to the actual coin supply when block 12,512 is mined, without going overCryptoGir has generously donated 5,000 ZS to the pot, winner will receive 5,800 ZSDue to other generous donations, pot has reached 6,800 ZS and rising! Pot balance: http://coinia.net/zimstake/getbalance.php?addr=DwHLVJ8V2yrgWjahBaiz8piuxC3AngWfnoIf you would like to contribute to the contest and increase the pot size, donate funds here: DwHLVJ8V2yrgWjahBaiz8piuxC3AngWfnoThis Google Spreadsheet contains a list of everyone's guesses. I require that everyone's guess must be exact down to the single ZS. 4,301,268 is a valid guess. 4.3 million is NOT a valid guess. To enter the contest, simply reply to this thread and let me know what your guess is. I will update the Google spreadsheet at least a few times per day.NO SECOND CHANCES. Once your guess is on the spreadsheet, it is set in stone. Duplicate guesses will not be accepted. Once the spreadsheet is up, check it before guessing, to make sure someone else hasn't already guessed your number. In the unbelievably rare occurrence that we end up with two winners, I will organize a drinking contest taking shots of green label rotgut whiskey. Last person still able to lift the glass wins. Keep mining folks, only a few days left - http://zim.pitythepool.com is committed to staying up through the end of the POW phase. 3984753

All contest entries through Goblynn above have been entered into the spreadsheet, viewable hereSomeone mentioned cutting off entries at some point so no one throws in a guess at block 12,511 or something - this is an excellent idea and no entries will be accepted after block 10,512. Not much time left. I just threw another 800 ZS into the pot. The size of the pot is now 8598.99 ZS and can be seen herehttp://zim.pitythepool.com is still up and running -- not much mining left!

The Work: Proof of Work:- Algo: SHA-256
- Block reward: 512 ZS
- Max height: 12512 (a little over 8.5 days)
- Total POW Coins: 6.406.144 (6.4 million or so)
Proof of Stake- Stake Interest: 12% annually (FOREVER!!)
- Min stake age: 12 hours, no max age
- Total Coins: 60 - 70 million after 10 years
Apologies if this has already been answered, but can you explain how this will work? Doesn't the PoS element mean that you cannot set a total coin number? As you will (potentially) be creating some millions of coins in stake interest every year "FOREVER"?

PoW ends very soon with around 4.25 million coins in circulation. A market cap of around 200k means that one ZS is 10k sat. Lesser coins have easily reached this target.
If you have btc dust, go place a bid at bittrex, scifi-ex or allcoins. The yields could be significant.

CinniCoin is trading at that price with 15 million, so will be interesting to watch once it's pure PoS and hits some bigger exchanges!

IF ZS reached that, one coin would be worth around 33k sat! LOL. ZS doesn't even need to reach those lofty heights to yield excellent ROI for people buying in now. 1k sat to 10k? Easy. 900% gains is conservative.

Agreed. At current prices ZS has a market cap of only around 40 BTC, less than $20k. It is SUPER cheap right now.

As you will (potentially) be creating some millions of coins in stake interest every year "FOREVER"? This is true, we cannot set a total coin number, due to POS. However, what we are placing guesses on is what the total coin supply will be once the POW stage of this coin is over (which is block 12512). Basically we are guessing how many coins there will be at block # 12512.
