Great! thank you Icecube, I apologize I just went back a page and saw your offer.

I am fine with you forking, but I think we should lock down a full time dev prior to the change over to ensure we keep forward progress.

sry I wasn't ignoring your offer Smiley

I also got a response from Presstab. I looks like he will be to busy to DEV the project full time but will work as at an hourly rate.

No volume on any exchange ATM. And most are selling listed for sale are 1k plus.

If push comes to shove we can always have iceucube provide the fork, then pay Presstab to add a few features.

Lets go ahead and get the ball rolling here. I think ZeroStake is good and we can implement anon Transactions as a developer steps up.. I think the most important thing at this time is to form a foundation and create an asset backed coin. Foundation Members should be at least bitcointalk Jr. Members unless special circumstances warrant the requirement being waved. Most assets should be Intellectual property such as domain names, email address or other properties that can be sold through the creation of the mind. The foundation will sell assets with large portion of the sale going to the Staked wallets. A foundation wallet will be set up and will be funded either through donations or can be factored in a hardfork. Properties will be purchased by ZeroStake or Bitcoins.

Once the foundation is formed and Hardfork is implemented, we need to get listed on Exchanges. Poloniex is probably the best viable option at this time. We can also look to Foreign Market exchanges. One option is to support the Saffroncoin developer in the creation of an altcoin exchage in India cryptoxindia. This is basically an untapped market and could be a great first to market option. Those who are interested or willing to be a foundation member please respond.

great to see that things started rolling. As declared previously, I offer 1000 ZS to the development pot. Shall we start collecting funds?
I can volunteer for managing the pot, providing a separate address to keep it fully transparent.

As for the options we want to develop, I would keep it stupid simple (KISS) rule: don't overdo with the features we want to implement.
Adding a marketplace build up would be a great feat and that is what I propose to focus on. I am not sure if we need anon at all, that is the current hype in crypto, will it still be hype till we get it developed? Not sure. Marketplace instead, would help us to keep interest in this coin. And that is what we need atm.
Just my 0.02 ZS

I trust uki with funds, since I have worked with him in the past. He's a straight shooter. Not sure what your time constraints are since we're kinda in limbo, but think you would be good nominated for the foundation.

As for the fork previously iceucube volunteered to get it started. He won't be able to provide long term development but at least we could get out of here and our current state. Starting a new thread for Zer0stake and op is next. I do think this should be written soon and shouldn't take much time. Unfortunately I would of liked to lock down a DEV before a switch over, but haven't seen or hear much intrest. I'm sure we can put a bounty up for a DEV or features to be added.

Presstab offered to DEV on an hourly rate which now in unattainable for anything big. Not sure how long a simple mixer or lite anon feature would take. I do believe something bigger is what zer0stake should be and marketplace functionality would be a great feat but worth it. But baby steps, correct biomech? Smiley

Don't forget #zerostake IRC channel that icecube has registered. I usually idle but am available to talk early am PST on weekdays.

I really am not that big on anon either but we will let the foundation decide. Uki, if you are interested in the foundation I think you would be a great addition. I would think up to 10 members would be a good number. That would allow for people being away or unable to attend a foundation meeting. I would gladly accept a foundation position. Let's try to get 8 members named by Wednesday and set up an IRC meeting for next week

Except mine... because it's actually illegal in a government setting to do so.. conflict of interest and all that shit

Ice cube when the coin is forked could new coins be added to fund the foundation? Or maybe a portion of staking goes to the foundation.Rather than relying on donations of few, everyone would pay a fair share.

Interesting question. With the current 3.92M coins in circulation we may think whether to increase the number of coins to say 4.5M and adjust the interest rate on staking.
Few options here: (1) reduce constant 12% to some step function, say 10% in the first year, 8% in the second, etc. up to achieving total of 6M coins, or (2) have non-linear staking function, the bigger the stake, the bigger the interest rate. Any comments?

I think that lowering the staking interest would be fine, considering that the sale of assets would be distributed to stakeholders.

If you're talking the day after tomorrow, I can probably be present. My move is delayed anyway, but the day after that, I'm probably on the road Tongue

As for messing with the staking algorithm, my recommendation is to leave it completely alone. It works good, and it is adequate interest to keep interest.

Something that we might look into is Stake For Charity, which is a module in Hobonickels and Hyperstake that we could probably snag and incorporate with little trouble.

However, other than some rebranding, I don't think we need to mess much with the coin as it stands. Instead, I think any foundation formed should look heavily into promoting the coin as, well, currency for gaming and entertainment. Like for instance approach app developers and such as get them interested in taking zer0stake as payment for their apps, or getting some community members to develop games and such for Zer0stake.

Quick Update:

1. Will be putting a placeholder site in this week @ www.zerostake.com until we have firmed up coin details and know a little bit more about our future direction.

2. Have sent feelers out to some talented devs, nothing firm yet, couple of nibbles.  Hope to have something concrete on this front by Friday.  Like I said before if anyone else comes up with some good options here pls don't let my efforts sidetrack you, the more options we have the better.

3. I would love to serve on any foundation-type project in any capacity the community feels I could assist in bringing long-term viability and success to Zim\Zero.

Will have further updates on the dev search (success or fail) and other fronts (mainly branding) throughout the week.
