Could be the PBOC 'ban' 'again'. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583633.0Or as someone said in the thread: The real reason for the recent drop was the confirmation of Mt Gox liquidation by the Japanese courts and the possibility of an auction of the remaining Gox coins. Honestly though do you care? If so, why not buy some insurance or hedge your investment/bet? These drops happen daily with bitcoin. If we have a massive drop or or a continued run-down, then I'd start asking questions, even then though - are you planning to cash out? What is your target? What is your stop-loss? Hope that helps.

China's just going to keep banning BTC every fucking month and because everyone in China is apparently dosed with amnesia drugs every fucking month, BTC will keep tanking out of absolutely idiotic "fear". It's long past time China's bluff is called, if they're going to genocide BTC hodlers or not.

panicky noobs that let their emotions and not their brains control their investments.
in reality chinese exchanges have already changed their deposit FIAT account numbers from central banks to commercial banks. so people can still trade without any noticable impact.
bitstamp done this years ago when some american banks got a little scared, bitpay did too. so did pretty much all the western world exchanges at some point in the past.. and what was the western worlds response
"oh look, their bank details have changed, ok just have to change a few digits on my wire transfer" 5 seconds later "ahhhh, business as usual"
so Why the F**k do westerners that dont even deposit into chinese banks get so panicky over a minor change of just a dozen digits on an exchanges deposit page.
media fud spreaders are over exaggerating Wetards, especially when the western world never uses banks official announcement webpage as their source, but a mis-translation of another media company.

I don't care about these temporary dips anymore. Some noob spreads some rumors about China and the price crashes. It recovers after 2-3 days. I have already witnessed this at least 3 times this month. Getting really boring.

Once every month China will "ban" Bitcoin, how funny is that! And there are a lot people still buying this "news"
Prepare yourself for next month, another "ban"

Sounds like you can/should probably start trading then no? I have already placed 10 different buy orders, each at $10 intervals, from $160 to $250. Let's see whether BTC will fall that low or not. A few weeks ago, in BTC-E, it had dipped to $164 for a few seconds, as a result of a massive BTC10,000 dump.

this topic should be moved to speculation.
we dont need a new topic for every rise or drop..
in fact ill predict the future topics relating to this
"bitcoin is rising" "bitcoin falling again" "bitcoin is on the move" "anyone know whats causing this rise" "anyone know whats causing this drop" "anyone know whats causing this movement"
there. that should cover it.

well I wasn't really speculating, I simply asked the question why the BTC is falling?

I thought all panic-sellers have already left bitcoin, but it seems there are still plenty of them lol.

China loves gold so they dumped paper, bought the JP Morgan gold vault next to the NY Fed and bought a shitload of physical.
China loves Bitcoin so they FUD the price down and buy the shit. They know the west is preoccupied with paper denominated prices and they use this to their advantage to accumulate real wealth.
