hey... jumping in here.
so far I am up and running. better execution than the mro. in step 4: should you leave out the % symbol how do you set minerc for threads manually with out using gui.

A merged multipool (BCN-MRO-FCN) would be great...

Indeed, gui miner is as easy as count to five. Would be wonderful to see the same friendly gui miner for BCN. btw, using command line is good choice, nice to see that you've followed already become a traditional boot sequence.

Nicely done, merge mining FCN-MRO since start. Although not sure if i'll be able to get any blocks at MRO, diff is through the roof BTW any possibility to use miner/hash optimizations from MRO? That optimization doubled the hashes at MRO.

IMO merged miming is a great opportunity to mine both bytecoin and fantomcoin simultanously. It will save me a lot of time!

Just launched the miner and all seems to be working just fine. Besides the interface is very user-friendly

Great work!
How can you set the number of threads used for mining from the command line? My CPU is only at 18% so I think it must be using only one thread. Also, If it's all working what output should we expect in the command prompt?

When I run the GUI miner it shows that it's running (hash rate shows in the start/stop button) but when I type "show_hr in the daemons it says "Mining is not started". Is that normal?

Just run the GUI miner after making sure that daemons are synchronized with the network and everything works well. Great job!

Does everything go in the same folder? Where do you put the gui miner files?

Noob question:
Wen mining do we need to have wallet running, or specifying wallet address in daemon is enough?

IT'S TIME TO START MINING, GUYS! EVERYTHING IS READY! You may download everything you need there: http://fantomcoin.org/ First merged mining instructions for those who doesn't like GUI: First of all be sure of two things: 1. Launch Bytecoin's or Bitmonero's daemon and wait till its synchronization. 2. Start FantomCoin's daemon. The process is very similar to BCN's: launch command line, navigate to the right folder and launch fantomoind.exe . Use "save" command after synchronization 3. Create FCN's address. Again it is the same process as for BCN and BMR: open another instance of command line, navigate to Fantomcoin’s folder and generate new wallet with “simplewallet”. simplewallet --generate-new-wallet=example_wallet.bin --pass=12345Here “example_wallet.bin” is the name of the wallet (use .bin file extension) and “12345” is the password for your new wallet. 4. One more command line is needed. Navigate to Fantomcoin's folder and launch minerc.exe using the next command: minerc --node1=127.0.0.1:8081 --node2=127.0.0.1:24081 --wallet1=%your BCN or BMR address% --wallet2=%your FCN address%--node1=127.0.0.1:8081 is IP and BCN's daemon port. If you want MM with BMR you need to use this one: --node1=127.0.0.1:18081 instead --node2=127.0.0.1:24081 is IP and FCN's daemon port 5. Enjoy merged mining! Merged mining with GUI:1. Start daemons and make sure they are synchronized with the network. Use save command after it. 2. Start GUI miner. Add BCN/BMR and FCN addresses to the right field. Click "Start" 3. PROFIT! Excuse me 4/ When i try to launch minerc.exe nothing happens what can i do? Can i create a .bat?

Yes, you need to create a .bat file with the commands in step 4.

How do you set the number of threads? Can it be done, or do you run multiple instances of minerc.exe?

How do you set the number of threads? Can it be done, or do you run multiple instances of minerc.exe? I took a guess and added, --threads=4 , to the end of the command and that worked for me
