Hello guys and girls. There's one question that I can't get out of my head. A guy starts a huge revolution, and then disappears? Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? Let's try to find out! Let's help each other out here. Let's solve this once and for all! I hope that we will find out one day. But I don't think this guy or girl wants to come forward by her/himself. I can't do this by myself, that's why I want to bring us all together. What do we have? IRC logs? What times has he been active? I've read that he seemed to be active the times a US citizen would be active. Why did he choose the Asian "name" Satoshi Nakamoto? We know that this guy (or guys) [are/]is a crypto-nerd, right? So is there anything cryptic about his nick? Maybe there's something less intuitive in his nick, something recursive? Sa-to-[sh]i Na-ka-mo-to <---- Sh sticks out a o i a a o o <------ just the vocals .. can there be a pattern here? See the connection between the both separate "words"? What about this (sticking in a o i, as a piece of puzzle fitting into a a o o: a[a]a - oo <--- Shi part sticks out here as well
So, might Shi be significant some how? Let's try putting it in the front to begin with Shi-sa-to Na-ka-mo-to Here's a weird one: Shi-to-na-ka-sa-to We need clues! And there might not be anything with his name at all. This guy has been so quiet, so it's hard to know much about him. But if he wanted to be anonymous all along from the beginning, why would he? Are there famous cryptographic names we can look at, and see if they have gotten any richer lately? This guy must atleast be some cryptoguy.

I think they narrowed it down to 1-2 people... I'll try to find an article I read.

Satoshi Nakamoto isn't made up from random letters, both are proper Japanese names, about as common as a "James Jones" might be in English.

Let's go all national treasure on this.
Okay, in true Nicholas Cage persona I will make ridiculous claims off insignificant facts:
His initials are SN, SN backwards is SN, serial number, his name has 15 letters, take away the first letters and its 13. AHA! an isbn number, but to what. The name atoshi akamoto must be in code, but whats the cipher. Well, with a japanese name it must be a cipher from the far east. PURPLE, the cipher machine from WWII. Putting his name without the first letters into the cipher we get the ISBN 978-0743457019. Off to DC.
edit: Back again from the Library of Congress. It seems there was a note hidden in the book, will get back to you guys soon.

There was/is a nic registered on this forum. It's not likely that a nic is used by more than one, is it?

I wouldn't want a false rape charge to smear bitcoin. *stands* I AM SATOSHI NAKAMOTO

Satoshi can be one person or more people and he/they possess the biggest number of bitcoins (search transactions or any other way to find where are millions of BTC), and he/they possess the biggest exchanger, mtgox, which ask you to send ID verification to Japan, so, the name Satoshi is Japanese, mtgox is Japanese... is that enough for you to conclude who is/are Satoshi or where to find him/them?
But if he wanted to be anonymous all along from the beginning, why would he?
because government can make the law against bitcoins, when it become enough popular that government become crazy about hidden money (unpaid taxes), and satoshi can finish in the prison or he can be hunted by police.

debit cards websites are companies registered in London by Lithuanians who demand from you your phone, ID and utility bill, that's enough for them to make offshore companies on your name without your knowledge and they can get a bank account and make financial crimes on your name, or they can simply sell IDs. don't give to anyone too much info. why they need more than your ID when your local bank demands only ID? don't use coinbase, they are NSA spying shit, they make database of people that use bitcoins.

Beautifully said, yet still a mystery we'd all love to know.

No, let's not find out. I am afraid of what could possibly happen to the guy/group behind that nickname. They want their anonymity for a reason.
