Dear friends,
I've been meaning to post here til I had read all the Diem
threads to understand the big picture.. but because of
time constraints I settled on reading carefully this last one
thread, since it is the most pertinent one currently.
But overall I get the impression that CarpeDiem has had
rough times and gone thru some sharp angled movements
- butt here it still is, poised for another jump forward.
I also think I now have a better sense of the culture of Diem as a trader's
coin, and the
outline of the vision of the Diem spokesman helped a great deal to pull some strands together in my mind.
I've been devoting the majority of my free time these past two days
to solving Diem's PoS problem, and will continue to do so until
the issue is finally fixed.
I am by no means an expert in PoS so this is very much a learning
experience to me. As of now I believe I've been able to identify the
general area where the problem occurs. Coin staking is a sort
of dance where the coins that are eligible, move through patterns
of predefined steps, and it is here where they get stuck. There
seems to be nothing wrong with the code, but something in the
values that the coins carry with them causes them never to finish their
dance.
I will be posting on the forum every two days to
report my progress. Questions are welcome either here or in pm.
love
Yarko
