Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Very productive day in the warroom.

Another NEW WALLET!
https://mega.co.nz/#!I8dCwCjK!CQ2lidEWqre-ZV5GCKYFcmYvg0NEG7KeasP_X1LYR1w

This one wont let us stake as fast if the weight is high preventing forks hopefully.

Wallets links on the website have been updated. Keep up the good work everyone.

any news on that pool guys?

He's not sick any more which is good.  Said he needs to catch up on life though.

We didn't get a chance to talk to him but he left us a message in irc saying the pool will be back in about 2 weeks with a facelift.  That was a couple days ago.

So I'm on the new wallet. I've delete the block chain and redownload the block chain. I see it trying to stake but they all seem to fail.

They go from looking like this....

Status: 4 confirmations, broadcast through 8 nodes
Date: 8/5/2014 13:54
Debit: 0.00 DIEM
Net amount: -31290.55 DIEM
Transaction ID: 423fc10eaa499a400283d1cd817f8677edb0f0effaf15edd0800a3ab098603ad

Then for some reason fails and it shows this....

Status: 0/unconfirmed, broadcast through 8 nodes
Date: 8/5/2014 13:54
Debit: 0.00 DIEM
Net amount: -31290.55 DIEM
Transaction ID: 423fc10eaa499a400283d1cd817f8677edb0f0effaf15edd0800a3ab098603ad

and it has does that about 67~69 times so far.

Are you synced up on the right chain? It should be on block 34,000 right now but you can check at http://www.carpediemexplorer.com/

Also how many peer connections do you have?

you should just sync a new wallet...and then replace the wallet.dat with the original one

also don;t forget to make a conf file with the permnodes

that did solve it for me

I did the above and it's on the same block as the block explorer. I got eight active connections and it seems to be staking now.

before it was not getting past 5 confirmations.

Status: 70 confirmations, broadcast through 3 nodes

I have downloaded the newest Mac wallet and resynced a few times, as the chain would stall regularly, and given the advice here it seemed best to delete and resync. This eventually was successful, at least to get the whole chain downloaded, or so it appeared.

Currently (out of sync) at block # 34778, and my wallet appears to be missing many coins from the balance.

Current balance shows 103.42435 DIEM, but according to transactions should be 6015.5994.

Small change, sure, but I'm testing, not investing. Any guidance? I'll be patient until dev returns.

Looks like 34778 is the right block.  It was generated 3 hrs ago according to my wallet which means we need some mature coins on the network to get the next block.

As for you missing coins...  If you have a backup of your wallet.dat close your wallet and replace the wallet.dat with the backup and load it back up.  That should do the trick.

I've also heard that adding
Code:
salvagewallet=1
to the conf and reload the wallet might fix that as well.
