I use W8.1 sp1 x64.

I followed the steps in the OP.
Wallet is still crashing.
There is some problem whith the software, i have 30+ other altcoin wallets on the same PC working without issues.

The same as before:
Using the source version on Linux x64
1. renaming the ~/.BTCtalkcoin -> .BTCtalkcoin_
2. restart BTCtalkcoin-qt
3. application window appears
4. app crashes with an access violation
