I know BK has already contacted at least jyap. Jyap would be a great choice.
What is his credentials and previous projects?

What is his credentials and previous projects? He's responsible for the most recent mac compiles of NAUT and digital signing. But he's done some things with other coins too I think.

He released a coin (jbs) which seemed to go pretty smoothly. I'd like a dev that's active on this thread and won't hide away. Somebody who will keep it interesting with side projects and ideas that the community can get involved in would be nice.

Hopefully we will worry less about what projects someone has done in the past, and worry more about integrity.

So I've heard some people concerned about an attack. I'd like to point out, BK has rented plenty of hash in the past to help solve blocks on the old Digishield problem model. I'm sure he'd be able to help prop up the network if a network attack were to happen as well.

Well it appears my speculation was wrong. PERHAPS BRIAN KELLY WOULD GIVE AN UPDATE ON NAUT AND POS? He is just asking for a dev to assist if possible. It would speed things up.

Hi all,
I told BK I would take a look at the NAUT PoS transition. I will need to check out the current code base, look at the implementation requirements and run some simulations. No guarantees, no timeline.
If there are any developers who would like to assist in this, please contact me. If you have experience in this PoW to PoS transition, then that would be great.
Thanks, Julian

Do you have to start over from scratch at this point, or can you use some of the stuff Bryce built? Also; check with Pnosker. He's the man when it comes to dynamic PoS. He also helped out Arch recently so he might be happy to help.

Was any work done? Were were told several times the dynamic PoS was in testing.

Man, despite the fact that I don't want to block anyone add LEGITIMATE INPUT AND SUPPORT can come from anyone. I think it's finally time to click that ignore and report button.
If your can't provide CONSTRUCTIVE input you shouldn't be on ANY forum. I now advise you to leave the Internet as the whole thing is just that. A forum.
Also, why don't you go FUD hashcoin they've openly stayed that they're working with a bank, all that doom and gloom you're spreading fits better over there.
Edit: There, much nicer. Now we can get back to actually supporting this endeavor.

I am back in NAUT before it goes up again. Thanks God! The only reason why he insults or tells stories about NAUT and BK is because he is so interested in investing in NAUT Trying to buy cheap ? That is the question for him! The thing for us to do is ignoring him. I just dont read his stuff. One thing I can say, there are only a few coins in the market that is doing serious stuff and going strong... To me, DGB and NAUT are the coins following this pattern. And I am totally sure that BK will make POS happen before his book releases. That is obvious. Then, there will be intelligent work will step in with BK's financial experience. Can you see the potential ? If I were you, I would have held 20k or so for sometime without considering the decline in the price. For sure, it will increase a lot from here....

Quick PoS update -
I am told it is complete, but I was too busy yesterday to check it out. I will look today and hopefully get it set for beta testing. Since the fight is only 2 days away, its probably best to wait until next week to implement.
The steps as I see them: 1.) Beta test PoS - we will need help with this 2.) Pick a block to implement 3.) Implement multi-pool

a switch to proof of stake is not a smart move
there is no substitute for proof of work / period
still, Sunny King, the novacoin dev or hobonickles dev would be logical choices to hire however they may not want it and it would require centralized checkpointing,
im glad i don't own any of this coin
my reason for posting to the section is to remind people that honest projects do not and should not change directions multiple times after launch
also for all the people that say they were scammed at some point by unknown developers this project is proof you can just as easily be taken for a ride by people who are very public and known and even go overboard to present themselves that way to disarm your guard.
True long terrm successful projects are ones with solid code, available on github that never need to 'hire' anyone to do anything because they can't do it themself. To me this is as crazy as developers who post bounties and allow strangers to compile their wallets for thier projects and the people gullable enough to use those.
also i think some people missed the central issue of my last post is if you ANN a 1% premine and then cut the coin supply the 1% is now much larger and depending on the total coin supply 'right now' can be larger still.
afterthought
I bet Bernie Madoff smiled at all his customers as he robbed them.
afterthought 2 hash power ? based on public data the difficulty of this coin is regularly so low based on public available sources since I have never nor will i ever compile the source to make a client i think a few or even 1 person with 1 or 2 scrypt 1024 asic rigs could 51% it and put it out of it's misery real quick.
based on coin warz difficulty information and 1 minute block times network hash rate is probably on average lower than 100 or maybe 75 mhs
with the kind of equipment available today that leaves the block chain wide open to attack by anyone who knows how to launch one

regarding the premine question: I cannot speak for everyone, but I am fully aware of the premine. We had a discussion some pages back you just missed. The point was that the premine (1% or 3%) is mostly irrelevant because a) BK is not a broke coder like so many here b) dumping it could seriously harm his reputation. Since his rl income is mainly based on reputation the risk is much greater than the reward. The premine really is the least problem of this coin. / period

The premine is only a couple thousand bucks worth at todays prices anyway. BK has bought tons more since then, so it doesn't really matter. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the biggest holder by far at this point, as he's often announced his purchases publicly.

And also remember all the money he spent to keep the blockchain alive (DigiSheild issue) by renting rigs. So premine is definitely not a big issue like the other 2 gents before me said. But there is one thing that bothers me ... why are we still talking about transitioning from PoW to PoS. Why can't we just implement dynamic PoS on a new blockchain/coin and simply swap out ?
