far to many inconsistencies in that story for it to be even remotely true

least of all the gun collection looks like it is in a museum

and wat the heck is the last picture of lol

people who say bitcoins are used for buying drugs are not the type of

people who are up for discussion about it  Wink

The photo looks real enough, and that is one truly epic pile of cash.
The owner was way overdue to retire and enjoy some of the profits.

I don't know something dosn't seem right about the panther photo, and 20 Billion in cash seems a bit much considering that would make them among the richest men in the world and all in cash,

sounds more Mexico runs their Treasury in cash and the entire GDP is drugs.

I think this is a valid reason to disestablish cash, but not an excuse for Bitcoin.

The pile of cash is definitely amazing, but I really doubt if it is real and there are 22 billion there.

from what i can see
10 stacks high (height)
10 stacks deep (width)
35 stacks along (length)

3500 stacks

if each stack was worth $1000 in small denominations = $3.5mill
if larger denominations worth $10k per stack = $35mill

definitely not 1 billion, and definitely not 22billion

Yeah I saw it also in the news somewhere.

Each stack is worth much more, trust me.
Also I don't think that this is all the money that he had.

That's a shame, that guy should have bought some btc. That way, he wouldn't lose all his wealth like that, and also drive btc prices sky high. Win-win.

I'm sure I read a story a while ago about that big bed of us dollars being all counterfeit money that was seized from somewhere. I'm not sure even the biggest Drug lords in the world would ever have 22 billion in cash lying around. They're probably a lot more smarter with their money than that.

This is why Bitcoin is useful.

What is it so much more 'in your face' with bitcoin. Banks slowly drain you, bitcoin happens overnight and poof mt gox runs.

In the US, stash houses are normally located in upper-scale neighborhoods.  Usually in a quiet community where discovery would shock the conscience of neighbors.  Every one I've ever seen has been within a couple blocks of an elementary school.
