I don't know about any twitter comments but it has reached 155 satoshi today with about 8 BTC in trading volume. That's a nice christmas surprise.

I downloaded the wallet (v1.1.0.0) and it stops syncing every time at the same point, 53.52%

I downloaded the last blockchain I could find, started from scratch and it still happens. I've added some nodes from a few pages back.  Any ideas on how I can fix it?

I'm on windows 10.  I'm trying again overnight, if it stops again I'll check the debug.log and join the slack channel.  Thanks all!

unzip,
place bootstrap.dat inside your datadirectory
start the wallet,
it will now sync from the bootstrap.
it will appear to be doing nothing but it will load blocks for some hours and hours


if the wallet opens normally before it has finished (up to block 1687810)
you can repeat the process,
except bootstrap.dat will now be named bootstrap.dat.old so you will need to rename it before starting the wallet

copy contents into your data directory, then start the wallet,
(safety bear says backup everything first)
contents - peers.dat, blk0001.dat, txleveldb folder, database folder.

if you are new, or are creating a new wallet, just start and it will generate a new virgin wallet

if you have an existing wallet with existing transactions you may have issues with it importing all correct details,
in which case you will need to try starting wallet with -rescan
or using the bootstrap from scratch

(if you wish to bootstrap, you do not need to download seperate bootstrap,
just rename blk0001.dat >>> bootstrap.dat
and delete the other files that came in the snapshot - except peers.dat)
