If you'd bothered to read the linked post, you can clearly see email ownership is the least of your worries in account recovery.

All the seller has to do is post somewhere in the board "my bitcointalk account recovery address is 1DhvgDsAQRW96bVmE8RiUFA7kD5SzDbRqD" at any point in the past.

You won't know if the account has posted a message like this because as stated in OP you don't get the account name until you've bought it. Once the funds are out of your hands the seller can send a signed message to theymos from the address and get the account and email address assigned to it, transferred back to him.

Is that clear enough?

Yeah, exactly, not to mention I think you can sign PGP message or reset the account with the secret question if it has one. Like I said, there are several ways and buying accounts is just an all-round shady business. That's not to say it's impossible to conduct a safe transference, but I'd advise caution.

I really think you niggas need to lay off. The insane amounts of speculation is so great and it's funny to see how protective you are getting without even nearly being interested. I've offered every possible stance to provide you security of the account.  The chances of me actually recovering an account is slim, and if it was recovered, you nazi's would - rep it making the account useless. Now, Most sig adverts require to you post and I use one account for about 10 minutes per week in total time, so the inactivity is ridiculous. What other information do you want, I'll be willing to give it. After the account is sold, I'll leave trust on the account stating it was Sold, if you want. The prices aren't so great because I haven't had ridiculous amounts of inquiries. I've never sold accounts before, so I don't know going rates. I thought 40 bucks for a virtual account on a forum was a bit much even at that price.

People are always suspicious of deals here. It's the same in pretty much every thread created by a newb. 40 bucks is a steal for a Snr Account. If you're serious I'd ask for more and if you use an escrow there should be no problems.

True it is good that you would use escrow although some people want the btc realeased from escrow right after the login details are given. Perhaps he wanted the extra time to think about it?
