I never keep a high amount of Bitcoins on my phone due to possible damage or theft.
But I just transferred some Bitcoins to my phone I was going to trade with someone outside a coffee shop, 5 minutes after transferring the Bitcoins to my phone, I dropped my phone twice, must have been from sweaty hands. First time it just cracked the bottom and the screen worked, 2nd time it dropped the whole screen cracked and the touch screen doesn't work.
I didn't backup my wallet due I was going to keep the coins on my phone for a few minutes.
This is the app I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet
Phone is ZTE Supreme.

Maybe you can hook it up to your TV with a microUSB to HDMI connector and see if it displays anything. I don't know if your phone supports that though. You could also try to replace the screen I guess if the phone itself is still working. Or maybe hook it up to your PC and see if you can access the wallet file.

I'm thinking if I get a micoUSB mouse I'll be able to hook it up to my phone?

A microusb mouse may work, but it depends on the version of android your phone runs. You could also connect you phone to a computer as mass storage, but I don't remember if application files are accessible that way. You could use adb (the android debug bridge) to get the file off as well if you have debug mode turned on, the instructions here may help (and you might not need to root your phone either, try it without first).

There are several options (as long as you don't try to reinstall the app), so your bitcoins are almost definitely recoverable. Always remember, backups are important!

You're going to need physical control over your phone as mentioned above.

DO NOT REINSTALL  this will wipe and create a new address.

The abd bridge will not access the schildbach wallet files it MUST be rooted to do so so hooking it up as a drive will not work.  What this means is you need the phone and app operational long enough to either transfer the btc or do a backup from within the app.

SO replacing the broken screen, fining a way to pair a mouse/screen for viewing or get a remote control app installed and running and access it from a computer.

How much BTC are you talking about?  Weather you're going to keep BTC there or not it is good practice to ALWAYS have a backup of your wallet no matter where it resides.

Small amount of BTC about 1.5 work days. I'll probably set the phone aside and try working on it at a later time. It's my fault, I should have had my keys backed up.

I just tested it now that I'm back at my computer again, and nachius is right, it does require a rooted phone. However, if your phone is rooted, the method I linked to is easy to use.

You could also try using a micro USB to USB adapter for a few bucks to connect a mouse, which will work on newer phones, or buy and install a replacement digitizer to use the phone normally again (though the hardware modification is somewhat riskier).

I took a quick look into remote control apps (such as Airdroid), but most seemed to require some sort of intervention on the phone to start. You may be able to find one that starts automatically with a bit more searching, which would also work.

Good luck!

I've encountered this problem before. We fixed it by plugging in a USB mouse (assuming here that you can actually see things and it's just the touch response that failed).

Indeed replacing a screen is very easy and will give you BTC + working device.
Micro USB mouse should work too and it is small cost but your device will still not work.

You can send it to me I can replace your screen but shipping might cost a bit Tongue
Service price I can do a half price for you.

Install a VNC server on the phone and access it from your computer. You don't need physical access to the phone to be able to install apps.
