Hello Asia Coin Community,

It has been for a lot not easy and very disapointing moments when we understood what happened, and it is still, for many, not very clear what really happened.

Bitsta, Micryon and Goldmann, as  I have understood, are the new core of AsiaCoin2, is that right ? If it is thank you for stepping up.

Could maybe one of you, in a short mail, explain clearly what you think happened? What you have in plans for AsiaCoin2 and explain who you are and why you are stepping up ?

That everybody knows what will be the main next steps, as we really need clear communication.

Best wishes to you all

hi cryptoba,

i am responsible for community communication, developer support and milestone planning.
Micryon came up with this idea and motivated us to join the team.
Bitsa is the core developer.

Well it s clear what happened. The DEV of AC premined a hidden block. Have hidden that in his blockcrawler
and also edited the sourcecode to make everything looks normal ("getinfo")...

Why we are making this?
well i got a lot of messages after i posted that i dicovered (with the support of rainy & bista) the premined block and warned the community (while they were laughing at me and shouting "FUD").. bitsta also discovered strange memroy hops and datacommunication within the AC wallet.
well we sold all our coins (made a huge loss - bitsta lost about 25BTC....) and said lets forget it. but users kept writing us
and asking to help them, support the community, maybe take the project over, etc..

and there are really a lot of users who want this project to be relaunched. a lot of people have still money in it. so there is still a value in this. at least in the community. and we just want to support those people.

Thanks lot for this nice answer.

Best luck to you all Smiley

I applaud this effort, especially as a AC Bagholder. The one reason I didn't sell my coin at a loss when the news came out was that I knew the community would come up with a better solution than me taking 10% value of my asiacoin off the exchange. Smiley

Before offering my support for this new launch, I want to put forward a few thoughts:

A) I think the first post needs to state whether any of the current developers on this coin are in any way involved in the initial asiacoin. Nobody is going to want to get involved in a project if it has existing ties to AC1.

B) As far as a name, I think asiacoin needs to stay. I like AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] however, the adding V2 seems tacky, and might give a even more negative initial view to new contributors. I suggest the following:

AsiaCoins [ACS]

The coin(s) plural will speak to the initial asiacoin creation to compensate those who had funds in the original asiacoin, and the new asiacoin. (making multiple coins "plural")
This will differentiate the two asiacoins, but will seem like a more natural name.

C) There is a major problem with trying to compensate original holders of asiacoin. How do we verify who has legitimate coins, or who has coins from the genesis block? Can anyone verify if the dev ever sold any of his massive originally created coins? if he sold a bunch of them on the exchange, lots of bag holders are holding "dirty" coins. The only real option is to cut off any coins from the original genesis block, even if this means some bag holders get burned by this (I might be one of them). By doing this, we can ensure only properly mined coins will be compensated.

Let me know how I can further contribute to the cause, I will mine this new coin if it comes to fruition.

ASIACOINv2 [AC2]

This will be the new thread for all AsiaCoinv2 supporters.
We will regularily be updating this thread.

Teammembers:
bitsta (core development)
micryon (dev support, marketing)
goldmann (development)

coin-specs:
  • pure PoS
  • 160 mio total coins from premined PoW
  • stake interest will be set after community poll
  • PoW coins to be exchanged for AsiaCoin

tips appreciated: 1F7wGga1fVD9JJ995K8MiZJjyHSiJYSDPx

how to swap the old AC with AC2?? while my AC coin stuck in mintpal

we will set up wallets for the "swap" and post them public in this thread. so before we start the "swap" we will make a list with each user in it and how many ACs are going to be "swaped" on that specific address..

Maybe address for "swap" old AC will be good to make in that way like for destroying coins that community will be sure no one ever use that coins again. It will be transparent for sure Smiley

Good initiative by the community. But fail on 2 things - 1) Self moderated thread and 2) Asiacoin name brand

Self moderated threads are always a no no and will automatically be perceived as a scam.

These devs can delete any comment they like. Total censorship of anything they like.

Someone finds out this coin is a scam and posts? DELETED

Someone puts out a rational argument that the OP don't like? DELETED

Sorry but almost all coins with self moderated threads are DOOMED TO FAIL.

Second fail: Sticking with Asiacoin name brand. The brand is tainted, as others have pointed out, we might as well go with a new coin name. We don't want to scare away investors in the future do we?

So to succeed and have my support- a) start a new poll after taking in coin name suggestions and b) don't be stupid and have a self moderated thread and get accused for needless censorship. If your coin is successful, it's bound to have haters. Learn to deal with it.

+1 on both accounts. Self moderation is stupid

Don't get scammed or buy into SHITCOINS with instant mines, fast mines or premines - http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=a_massive_investigation_of_instamines_and_fastmines_for_the_top_alt_coins
