IMPORTANT UPDATE
we got a lot of messages today regarding this project and seems that a lot of AC bagholder
don't want to see a new coin. Most of the AC community wants the old sources to be fixed
and patched. Therefore we are going to stop our work on ACv2.
some reasons:
  • We will never publish a release with the original AC scamwallet as codebase
  • We will not risk users to lose potential 30 million AC which were dumped
  • we don't know whats still hidden in the sources
  • big bagholders and active AC community-members don't want this

we are sorry to anounce this, but as you know, there is big responsibilty linked with
such a project. and in this case we won't take responsibility over other peoples money.
we wish you good luck!

1. You can not handle or do not want
2. Whoever wrote the developer / bitsta / let write what you think here, not doing a hidden message
3. Show some messages, because I still think that one of competing coin makes nonsense and send you messages

I have not written to you, someone else wrote to his a message - People ... stand as men and say that

I'm a coder but with no experience of altcoin development.  I will look through the code and see what I can do, but my time is limited.  No promises - sorry.  Where is most of this premine at the moment?

For RealStackcoin i did almost all of it: create a website, paid for the domain, codeded it deployed DNS seeds.. and then after that launched,  Everyday i'd get up and send people coins to recompense their lost coins, update the OP.. respond to the thread in a timely manner, etc..

I got like 0 monetary value out of it.. actually it costs me more to setup DNS and VPS servers.. But it was fun learning experience.

I don't think i want to go through all of that again.. If you guys can be responsible for starting an OP, website.. and commit to it in the long run.. then I'm in.  But I haven't seen any of that.  Don't see anyone creating a website or even creating a new thread (to repair the original coin), get any traction on recruiting a real team or anything...

Bitsta and co. tried to do something new here.. which I've advised them against .. but they probably don't have any skin left in the game and have written off their loss already..

But people who have skin in the game (bagholders).. gotta step up here.. can't just count on others to do this work.  its one thing saying you will help.. another to actually start doing something.

I completely agree, and I speak for myself that I'm ready to step in. We will work on that Smiley

Who else is ready to take responsibility for the work that we need to do?

If you're happy with our work on AsiaCoin revival, please consider giving us trust feedback and provide donations to the new AsiaCoin Foundation.

I'm on it but have a full time job during the week! Not a coder, but just helping people by adding names to the list. Tons of people lost a lot of money and we can fix this.

The premine was last seen on address: AKPy5ugy98yBkBCNU9Ne1bHExy5tqdq9Gu

do:
Code:
gettransaction 3688b23d8dfa7e770697497247dcd0c037f2869495fd0e44a532c9ab9f1b28e0

"vout" : [

            "value" : 3209869924.73000002,
            "n" : 0,
            "scriptPubKey" : {
                "asm" : "OP_DUP OP_HASH160 27bbe438a25164be586a2d3b17363dd3f27e8e02 OP_EQUALVERIFY OP_CHECKSIG",
                "hex" : "76a91427bbe438a25164be586a2d3b17363dd3f27e8e0288ac",

                ]
            }
        },

It may have moved since then, we need the block explorer DB working again to check that or get tool to look for it.

I'm about to merge in this change from COMM coin to block arbitrary address(es):

https://github.com/communitycoin/communitycoin/commit/7f07bdfe582683474b1c7ea34da9068780d890d9

But someone needs to talk to rat4 or look at POS code to understand how to prevent this wallet from staking.. that is key part of the patch that is unknown.

You can get the latest code from: https://github.com/micryon/AsiaCoinFix

Code:
git clone https://github.com/micryon/AsiaCoinFix.git

I'd love to help out but I don't have the skill set or the time. I work six days, sometimes seven days a week, 14h/day. I can however help with funding and would be willing to but I'm more of a face to face kind of guy. It's hard for me to trust people over the internet. Is there anyone with the know how living in southern Ontario. I'm in London, Ontario, Canada.

@micryon

I'm also a developer, and I lost more than I'd like. How can I help? Do you have access to the source code? I saw that the github was pulled and I don't know where I can find the source now.
EDIT: Just saw your github link. Thanks

I haven't worked on altcoins, but I understand how they work and have a lot of experience with C++.

Are you guys kidding me? There are millions of dollars at stake right now. It's time for proper devs to step up and fix this.

In the meanwhile, please PM me if you have AC and want to be added to the list at CryptoSteam.com

Patching to void addresses should be pretty trivial.. just about testing and making sure there are no holes.

I'm sure between the 3 of us can figure this out..

But someone needs to step up on bizdev/marketing side as well.  At minimum start new thread.

On the coding side... Everyone's got to start somewhere.. as long as you have the basic skills; a EECS/EECE or similar background (preferably degree).. this stuff is pretty trivial.

It just takes time / effort.. googling/stackoverflow .. just like anything else.

Most of the altcoin "devs" probably aren't even as qualified as Xuorc or EnabledZombi3..

It's just about getting past that barrier of fear.. like anything.. to get started.  As with anything getting started is the hardest part...so just get to it.

Git clone
make -f makefile.unix
modify Makefile to "-g3"  and step through some code using eclipse...
