Im in the process of a developing a new form of physical Bitcoin, something that hasn't been done before.
It will come preloaded with an amount of Bitcoin (privacy concerns will be addressed at the time)
What value would you most likely purchase?
For the initial batch I would like to reach out to the maximum number of possible customers so edging towards 0.1 btc but im sure some would prefer 1btc or greater.
Initial run will be of 100 individually serialised items.

On your first batch, you can use 1 btc initially. There are many who would prefer 1 btc denomination and have the money to pay for them. Then you can switch to 0.1 btc for the mass market later on.

When do you plan on having these available? Are you expecting to have a hologram on the back?
I would say to appeal to the widest audience, you may want to opt for 1 btc or possibly lower (i.e. .1, .5 etc...)
Looking forward to your new coin.

Are these just in gold or can you make them in something harder like platinum? Gold is rather soft to hold a private key. Would it come in a hard case or as is? Hologram?

There is a precise amount of gold between layers of durable polyester. Each note is made by precisely depositing gold, atom by atom, onto a printed polyester substrate. This produces a unique effect on the reverse side of the note. Where there is no printing, the gold is very shiny, but where gold atoms have fallen on print, the gold has a matte finish, making it look as though the gold itself has been printed in reverse. The precise quantity of gold is verified through rigorous testing and verified by independent laboratories. The gold is also easy to recover, using standard assay methods. Private keys will be printed directly to the note during manufacture and obscured using tamper proof holograms.

Exactly. These sorts of things only have value as collectors items and can't really be good as a physical "cash" version of bitcoin. Valaurum (or my Shire Silver) does work as a physical cash-like thing, but doesn't work online. Bitcoin works fantastic online, but doesn't work offline. Once you separate bitcoin from online you lose the safety that is provided, just like if you try to make gold into a digital currency you lose the safety of physically holding it. Its all about having actual control over the currency.

If you could have a way to allow customers to "print" or add the private key to these bills themselves, you would gather a lot more interest. I don't know of many people that would allow someone else to print/have the private keys for the 1btc that would be included on these. Is there any way you could leave a blank spot on the bills where the users could stamp or write the private key themselves and then attach your hologram on top?

Or use customer-provided BIP38 private keys.
