  • No registration required: Mine anonymously.
  • 1% mining fee
  • As soon as we have access to the source code we'll try to launch the pool in a timely manner
  • We permanently donate ⅕ of what we make to a soon to be announced faucet to push the coin (⅕ of the 1% fee that is, miners get 99% in total)

We hope you like the pool. Feedback is very much appreciated.

Where do the 1/5 (=20%) come from? Do I get 20% less Shares counted, so I earn 20% less? Or do you cover the announced 1/5 from the 1%-pool-fee?

Oh, thanks for noting that this might be confusing. We'll donate 1/5 of our 1% pool fee. Miners get 99%

We started at block 40. The difficulty should adjust every 60 blocks, or 5 hours.
Things should level out pretty soon. Network had 20+ peers mere seconds after launch.

no, but it's not impossibly that some from eu mine @ the chinese pool because they couldn't reach cryptopool.eu like me too, and cryptoco.in was 30min late.

nah who cares, i'm just disappointed that my Internet Connection makes it somehow impossible to mine this coin. a shame, Germany is so ridiculously antiquated when it Comes to Internet Speed/Connections..

I have sent a message to europex asking if they are interested in adding Furrycoin to the exchange.

I've tried contacting Richie from from Bittrex on IRC but got no response.

I will contact Poloniex next.

Unless you have some monster hashing power it's best to mine in a pool.

Merchants and services section has been added to the op.

Furrycoin can be used in the community to pay for art commissions, fursuits and other things.
Contact me if you would like to be added to the list.

I will try to find another pool for us, hopefully one you can connect to.
In the meantime I have moved http://pool.mycryptoco.in/getting_started to the top of the pool list.

People normally connect to the first one listed so hopefully your pool will have more hashrate soon.

Totally missed the chinese pool. It has been added to the op.

thank you, i appreciate your help! i'm not the pool owner, i'm just a miner :-) anyways, i think it can't be damaging if the hashrate would be distributed among more than 2 pools. okay, i'll stop crying now and grab myself a stout beer!

thanks for your offer, but i put my Money into my Hardware, there's no more Money left to buy coins straight :-)

but you could Point some of your hashrate to http://pool.mycryptoco.in/getting_started , that would be cool as hell. i'd like to know if i'm just wasting electricity right now or if, as soon as more miners are at this pool, i get credited like in a normal Situation.
damn, i'm not the pool-owner and still do some Advertising...strange day.

timeout happens. i can ping "cryptopool.eu" without any issues, but as soon as i try to ping "stratum.cryptopool.eu" (and this is where my miner has to have Response to and from in order to generate coins) there's a big nothing, a timeout, Happening. can't believe it's really located in the EU...

well the firewall actually have priority to block ICMP to protect the servers for bad traffic. So if you got packetloss in this just normal and nothing to worried about.

Well, give us your user name and we will check...

But why would you want to ping stratum?

Just set up your miners and try, we have had no other reports concerning connection problems...

And yes, we are very much in the EU. But we have miners from all over the world, and never had anyone with connection problems before.

Also, where in the hell do the config files go? There isn't any Furry coin folder under %APPDATA% on Windows. I was afraid that it overwrote my Litecoin data folder.

I forgot to include the pre-configured config in the non passworded wallets fixing immediately.

That wasn't the problem. The problem is that every other Windows wallet but this one puts the data in a folder called %APPDATA%\Coinname. That's where Microsoft wants program data to go. Your Windows wallet just puts the data where the exe file is. But the exe file is supposed to go under C:\Program Files (x86). (C:\Program Files for 32-bit versions) But if you put your wallet's exe file there, it can't create the necessary data files on Windows 7 (unless it runs with administrator privileges). It looks like the wallet is working and it communicates, but nothing is being saved in the data files.

You really should have the Windows wallet work the same way as other coins' wallets do. You are going to have a few very upset users if you don't, I think.

The little guys don't have much of a chance if everyone is solomining.

Pools were made to give the little guy a chance.

The fixed wallets will be available shortly.
Running into some speedbumps rest assured the fix is being worked on.

Updated wallets are coming, we are testing now to make sure everything works.

One thing to check in the Windows wallet would be the "Open" button for the debug log file on the Debug tab. Also if you click on the "Show" button for the command line options, some of the information is still for Litecoin.

Furrycoin 2.0 wallets are up. We will fork to DIGISHIELD at block 1100.
Difficulty should drop at block 840

The Windows wallet is much improved. Smiley You might want to make it more clear in the OP that it is mandatory to upgrade before block 1100, though. Hopefully most people would realize that, but still...

I have added mandatory update to the thread title. Thanks for the suggestion.

Why would you just give up? You should be out there promoting the hell out of the coin. Get on IRC. Get other pools to mine it. Point out that the diff will go extremely low once we get past block 900. Sponsor some giveaways on places like ecoiner.org. Go to furry fan sites and get people interested in buying the coin.

If you give up on furrycoin so easily, why would anyone take a chance on cakecoin?

I have my one mining rig mining furrycoin. If it hits block 900 the difficulty will drop and we can perhaps make it to block 1100.

Unfortunately with the pools down this could take weeks. Again I am sorry It was stupid of me to launch without implementing DS.

People tend to freak out when a coin creator says "I think it is dead", that was your only real mistake. We could have pitched in and helped get over the hump, but if the creator is so quick to give up, then why should we gamble our hash rate? You're supposed to wait until its actually dead before saying its dead, come on..

+1

And the same logic applies to people spending bitcoin to buy furrycoin on the exchange. Why risk your bitcoins if the coin's creator doesn't believe the coin will succeed? Some miners were mining to sell to those people, so when they stop buying, some miners will stop mining.

Prolifik is a full member. One would have thought that he would have noticed that coins require confident leadership and promotion.
